***World Series * Red Sox v Dodgers * Game 5***

Recommended Posts

Been a while since I've seen a live pickle. That was pretty exciting.

Looks like we might get extra innings.

Terrible base running by Bellinger. Roberts was not happy. He hasnt been completely happy with Bellinger all year. He benched him early in the season for lack of hustle.

Redeemed himself with that throw!

They sent that slug of a runner home on a shallowish pop up?.

All things considered, I dont blame them for taking a chance there.

Our 3rd base coach (Febles) is bad. He sends guys like a windmill. I can see taking a chance, but the Sox are off the charts with 2 out hits.

At that point in the game, they likely figured they wouldnt have a better chance to send a runner home.

Calculated risk that the throw is off the mark. Bellinger made them pay.

Game 4 pitchers:

Rich Hill, Dodgers

Nathan Eovaldi, Red Sox

Eovaldi pitched the final 6 innings yesterday, he isn't pitching. I don't think Cora has decided yet.

Who are the starting pitchers?

Red Sox: That's the big mystery. Cora said pitchers were lining up outside his office to volunteer to start, but he left it as TBD following Game 3. It will be one of three lefties -- Rodriguez, Sale or Pomeranz. Rodriguez is the safest choice, having faced just one batter in Game 3. Sale would have to make the start on three days' rest, which would be a gamble considering the left shoulder issues he had in the second half of the season.

Dodgers: It's TBD for now, but if it turns out to be HIll, he last pitched during a one-inning relief outing in Game 6 of the NLCS on Oct. 19. He allowed one run in five innings of his Game 4 start on Oct. 16. Hill has shown improvement since adopting a full windup at the suggestion of Chase Utley, who noticed Hill was tipping his pitches with his previous mechanics.

Kinsler was horrible. Pinch ran and got picked off first but was saved with a bad call. Over slid third and nearly was out. Then made a piss poor effort on the play at the plate. Then focked up the game with his error.

Machados best play for this series was taking out Pedroias knee a year ago.

Red Sox pitcher Rodriguez up to bat. Loses his bat swinging. Gets hit on the arm and takes first. Next batter hits a slow roller toward Turner at third base, Rodriguez runs slower than anyone ever and slows up into 2nd base and is easily out.

Go Dodgers!
