I've long supported the use of these body cams by cops because that way we can determine the truth of the situation. I always suspected the cops were likely in the right the vast majority of times, but wasn't sure. That said, I'm also willing to be convinced that the BLM people have an actual real point and the problems they complain about may actually be real.

 

The evidence is there, we can evaluate the cop-minority blow-ups on a case by case basis.

 

The evidence that gets posted here at FFT indicates/reinforces that my instincts were right, a lot of BS false flags. But I do realize the posters here are cop friendly and may highlight the BS accusations. And I don't have the time, energy, or inclination to look at all the controversial interactions. I do like that when something IS made public we can review it though. Not all the times the cops are right. I like to think I/we can judge impartially when they are or not.

Because in 1916 Woodrow Wilson ordered it to be played at military ceremonies and other appropriate occasions, which apparently means sporting events. Nobody gave a damn before then, and nobody cared that players werent even on the field until 15 years ago. Hell, the anthem itself was ripped off from the Brits The Anacreontic Song.

 

Is the timing of their protest poor? sure. Id rather they protest at another time or place. I respect the anthem and would rather it be a time where we all unite as Americans. But that doesnt change what their protest is about. And it has absolutely zero to do with the flag or our military.

Its in poor taste and the NFL has provided them with the means to be more financially stable than 99% of Americans. At the same time, I also recognize the NFL players are predominantly African American, so I understand why they would use that as a platform. What better time to protest, than when 10-20 million people are watching.

I am curious as to what "false narrative" you think Trump is pushing. If anything, he is fanning the flames of what most Americans already feel.
