Decker Aggravated shoulder injury

Recommended Posts

Coach Todd Bowles said Eric Decker aggravated his shoulder injury in the Week 3 loss to the Chiefs, and it's "worse" than it was before the game.

Decker didn't practice Wednesday and needs an MRI. This doesn't sound good for his chances of playing Sunday against the Seahawks.

No that's not good news.

Plus Marshall is hurt , so someone like me that picks my Qbs late and just might have picked up Fitzpatrick as one of his Qbs is not happy about this news.

I'm contemplating dropping Dorsett for Enunwa. I have no idea why he is still available (probably because he's not a running back). Some rough matchups and Fitzpatrick looking horrid on Sunday is holding me back.

I'll probably hold tight on Dorsett.

I would make that move and let Tony's boy go.

I think the dark horse is Robby Anderson. Had a good preseason and when Decker went down he caught 2 balls for 34 yds when the guy hadn't caught a ball all season

Same here. I feel like I need to get him before someone else does. But I have Moncrief, Dorsett, and Kevin White. Probably should drop Kevin White, but he actually got a ton of targets and looked better last week....

Super sleeper special is Robby Anderson. Calling it

I like it... If I had room I'd snag him up and see what happens.

Robby is an interesting guy, but Marshall is still there and Enunwa has stepped up. How much value can a rookie like him have right now? Even with good height and speed, the guy is one of the thinnest players I can remember coming into the nfl. 6'3 190. One big hit from a linebacker and he is toast.

So yeah I'd say his ceiling is Travis Benjamin from last year, who wasn't all that good after his blazing start.

Ceiling this year that is. Future value is still tbd

I'll role with Slender Robby for a bit and see how the Decker news shakes out. I already own Marshall, but if I can get a couple good games maybe I can flip him in a trade for some bye week help.

Decker out potentially for season.

I snagged Enunwa a few weeks ago. His value goes waaay up right? With Marshall a bit gimpy and getting the main defensive attention Enunwa should be in line for lots of targets.

I'm flexing Beasely with Dez out instead of Enunwa vs Seattle, but it's close now..

He played with it last week. I imagine it's not a season ender. Could be 4 weeks though.

Enunwa's value definitely goes up but pump the brakes just a tad. It's quite possible that Enunwa benefitted from the attention necessarily paid to the duo of Marshall and Decker, and without those guys to fear opposing defenses will effectively shut down Enunwa.

Opportunity is great but the player has to be good enough to capitalize on it. So far it isn't looking good as Enunwa caught only 3 of 11 targets last week. The volume was there but the production was not. Dude was a sixth round draft pick in 2014 who did very little before this season

Playing with something because you can and didn't know the severity of the injury is a disaster waiting to happen. This is a partial year, which could heal with rest, or completely tear requiring surgery, or fail to heal on its own requiring surgery.

Bad take. Not Enunwa's fault Fitz threw every pass to defenders, not his own WR. And his draft slot, 2014, 2015 with little opportunity doesn't matter now... only how he has improved which best guess is how he's looked (great) in 2016.

And I am anti-Enunwa and the situation as I have Decker and a division rival has Enunwa.

I was mostly giving the devil's advocate take which was obvious from the part of my post you chose to delete.

I agree he has looked good although I do think he benefited from having two studs like Decker and Marshall pulling all the coverage away from him. Just like Fitz benefited from having those guys to throw to

Marshall will keep getting doubled. Don't think this effects Enunwa. Decker did better because of Marshall. Enunwa will still have single coverage. Don't see much difference as long as the Jets have Forte and Marshall

Read that the Jets are considering putting Decker on IR. Enunwa could get a big bump.

I wanted him prior to Decker but didn't see anyone I could drop for him. Would anyone drop the following players for him (full point PPR): Langford (I have Howard), Beasley, Dwayne Washington.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Eric Decker's shoulder injury was "worrisome enough" for the Jets to consider placing him on injured reserve
