I've never been a huge fan of tomato juice so they're not for me. People drink the sh1t out of them at the sports bar I go to on Sundays as soon as they start serving booze at noon though.

I don't know the exact %, but kids of alcoholics are more likely to be alcoholics themselves. And you not even trying to fight it is sending them the message that it's okay. The saddest part is that he mentioned that he made breakfast for his boys. So it's not like he's alone and decided to mix a drink. He's with his kids and still needs to drink alcohol. Why can't that be joy enough? I worry for those boys.

This reminded of a trip to St. Augustine. The bars there close pretty early. Something like 1:30. Anyway, I left the bar and took my beer with me. We were sitting by the old gates and this cop drives by. He stops right in front of us and in a shocked voice asks, "Is that a BEER?!!!"

 

I said "Yes, is that a problem?"

 

"You can't have a beer out of the street!"

 

"Oh, sorry. We're from New Orleans. The police stop you there if you don't have a beer."

 

He bought it! LOL.

Arizona used to have a law against selling booze before noon on Sunday. Then we got an NFL team and fixed that problem right quick.
