People turn on netflix or any other app and tool around shows/docs/movies unsure of what looks decent to watch for a half hour straight trying to find something. Yet cant walk over to the closet pick up a case and put it in the dvd player. Its a weird world in 2025. For the record: not a big movie or show guy and have no idea how people find the time to watch so many series/docs/movies. Some of you have exhausted every app you have. I didnt have a mass collection of dvds. But still have maybe 50-75 dvds in 2 boxes in my closet. Like the one post said earlier, mostly all stuff I think is good and or just classics. If im in the mood ill go pluck it and throw it in the rarely used dvd player. And it takes 50 seconds.... I dont need a dvd player or dvds really. But if I have both, I see no reason not to use them, if it makes sense. I would totally get anyone that just gave away or sold all their dvd stuff. Is 5 dollars important? No, not really. But what is the point of me storing dvds anywhere in the house....and a dvd player.. if Id opt to pay 5 dollars to not use them for the same exact thing?

We've donated a bunch but still have some. But I've literally sat on the couch, wanted to watch a movie, and spent $5 to stream the movie instead of getting up and finding the disc, putting it in, switching inputs, finding the other remote, going through the menu, etc.
