bob_probert_2000 1 Posted July 15, 2006 SO are you going to be able to make it to the event? Get off work, etc? Because if not, I know one small business owner that could take the time off, make the trip and only take a cut of the winnings.
Riddlen 1 Posted July 15, 2006 nice work strike. You took out my dad (pariddle) and brother in law (dunfest) at the final table. I dropped out @ 50th when that assbag flopdaflush called my all in on an insdire striaght draw... and got it. I wont lie, I like the site and hope traffic picks up, but I really didnt think strumey and the guys would actually be able to payout. Guess they built it into thier startup costs. Hopefully they make it. Dont forget the LetsPoker hat and T I am sure you will be wearing.
Quickolas1 80 Posted July 15, 2006 you're lucky they didn't let me re-register for the freeroll! congrats brah

Strike 6,195 Posted July 15, 2006 I think the buffets in Vegas heard the news and have already begun preperation. Way to be a d!ck in a positive thread. I would expect nothing less of you, my intellectually challenged friend how many people will be in the field? They had 5,600 last year. Figure 8,000 or so maybe, but not sure. You gonna wear a FFT t-shirt??Congrats. I'd be willing. I've told my work to make sure I have some with our logo on them as well. But I know Let's Poker will be hooking me up with some stuff and of course they get precedence. I've already got the hat Strumey sent me a long time ago

Day Old Doughnut 0 Posted July 15, 2006 That's all!!!? Damn. Wish there was a Mac client. Why do you sabotage every thread with these types of comments. I've posted very little, but with every thread that's generated by someone else you somehow turn it into a thread about you. Sad really because no one cares...... Anywho, way to go Strike. I have zero interest in poker, but it's on TV constantly and I hear about this WSOP all the time. Congrats...
dirty dug 0 Posted July 15, 2006 So I think the real question is how should we help prepare our little Strike-focker for the tourney? I say private table tourneys everynight! wife is in London for a week
KayJay1971 239 Posted July 16, 2006 Congrats I'm not familiar with the significance of the event but it sounds important Any one else picturing Diane Chambers for "Cheers"?

I have zero interest in poker, but it's on TV constantly and I hear about this WSOP all the time. Congrats... Fock you! Because I play Poker every day. Been playing poker all my life. About to play the Omaha freeroll at Pokeroom with 2,000 people. Have placed in the money (top 30) in 2 tournaments with 2,000 people, and I almost won one of 'em ... was the big stack for awhile .... started with 1500 chips, I had like 285k ... but I ended up placing 18th and got a ticket worth a dollar. Sorry ... just doesn't seem like a lot of people, for a prize worth 10 grand. I said congrats ... but DAMN ... I woulda found a way to play on a PC if I had known. Congrats

cday 0 Posted July 17, 2006 good luck strike. personally, i'd sell the seat if i won. the odds of getting through a field that big and surviving so many coin flips .. i'd rather just take the $9-9.5k i could get for the seat. assuming you go forward with playing, try to take out a few pompous ###### on the way. edjr 7,158 Posted July 17, 2006 Strike picked one hell of a time to win a seat to the WSOP main event. He has a 1 in 6,000 chance of winning. 4 years ago, he would have had a 1 in 1,000 chance

edjr 7,158 Posted July 17, 2006 Lot better payoff though. absolutely!! It's an awesome chance. I'd still rather have a 1 in 1000 chance for 1,500,000 instead of a 1 in 6000 chance for 7,500,

Strike 6,195 Posted July 17, 2006 Thanks all for the support and props. I appreciate it. I realize the odds are slim but I couldn't see giving this seat away. The experience itself will be incredible. On top of that, if that doosh moneymaker can win it anyone can.
