Things to do/not do in Vegas

Recommended Posts

I am looking for some advice.....

The wife and I are going there for 3 weeks on 3/19

Is there anything that you did when you were there that you said,

That was great?

or

I would never do that again?

Yeah...I wouldn't go to Vegas for 3 weeks.

:D

I would also recommend that you don't pick up hookers and bang them without wearing a condom.

Damn, 3 weeks!!! 4 days is enough, IMO.

Besides gambling, check out some nice restaurants. Aureole, Spago are good, albeit pricey restaurants.

See some shows...which ones... I have no idea.

Yeah...I wouldn't go to Vegas for 3 weeks.

I agree that 3 weeks is a long time, but the way the flights worked out, It was cheaper to go 3 weeks rather then 2.

We are staying with my sis-in-law, so the we are saving $$ on the stay.

I have some job interviews lined up while I am out there, and hope to get more while I am there.

In the mean time I was hoping to get some input from others who have been there.

Thanks

Hoover dam was cool. :D if it's still shut down to the public because of 9/11 though.

Can size of SIL?

If it is anything less than 34C, then I would definitely make it a shorter trip. :D

34c is about right.

I was checking out www.lasvegasadvisor.com

seems to have a decent amount of info. I just wanted to do a little cross refferencing with the geeks.

54 oz Mudslides ($18) in a big football cup from Coyote Ugly in NY NY

Poker Room at Luxor.......for no limit or $2 & $4 dollar games

Poker Tourny at Binions on Freemont street (where it all began)

Play the 1$ "Monte Carlo" slots at Mandaley Bay. They are right by the main cashiers window. (about 30 ft. away) Feed them 100's, and bid the max. You won't regret it. You will hear this in your sleep "SPIN TO WIN"

The .25 "Monte Carlo's" were also very loose at Paris.

This is not a one time deal. I have paid for 4 straight Vegas trips on these machines.

Do:

1. Le Reve @ the Wynn

2. I agree with Poker at the Luxor. It is hard to find halfway cheap poker games/tourneys at the bigger casino's

3. Hang out at the Hard Rock.

Don't:

1. Let the SO go to the Bellagio/Wynn to go shopping. :(

I have seen the Blue man group twice, once at The Luxor, and once at The Venetian. They are Great!!!

The Breakfast Buffet at The Aladdin is awesome. Plenty of Champagne!!!

Right at the end of the downtown area is a great resturant with a large glass encased area, giving you front row seats for the light show. great service!!! Tell them you are there for viewing.

Saw one of the Cirque de Soleil (sp?) shows while I was there a few weeks ago. Definitely worth the price. They have about 3-4 in various casinos.

Other than that, stay on 16, hit on....................eh, fock it no matter what you do the law of averages will nail you over 3 weeks. :D

Wow, thanks for the feedback. The Damn was on my list to see already, and maybe the blueman group. I might actually print out this thread and make it in to a "honey do" list

Thanks Everyone!

The cab drivers can hook you up with some of the best hookers in the world.

Nothing better than getting spanked by a hooker in Vegas. Unless your phillybear who would get turned down by the Vegas hookers.

Places you want to try to bang your wife

1)in the limo going up the strip

2) in the elevated subway leaving MGM grand (very late night)

3) in the hot tub at whichever casino you are staying at

4) in the elevator (oops never mind that was the Cayman's :dunno:

I'll be there 3/20 thru 3/25 with a couple of friends.

One thing I will not be doing is riding this however I can say from my last trip that the view from the observation deck is quite awesome.

One thing I will be doing is going to The House Of Blues on Saturday evening the 24th to see Kenny Wayne Shepherd on his backwoods Blues Tour.

Yep. You could spend a year (and a lot of money) doing stuff in the evenings. The challenge is doing stuff during the days. Lots of good golf there. Also, since you do martial arts, I'd highly recommend Ka, the Cirque show at MGM. Best Cirque show, hell best show, I've ever seen.

While I was checking into my hotel room last time (I think it was Emerald Isle), a black hooker with a kickin' body solicited me. You could see the girl's nipple rings through her top. :D

The desk girl was pissed when I told the hooker my room number.

And no, it didn't happen.

I think the volcano on the strip is cool to watch once.

And the Pirate ship battle in front of Treasure Island is worth watching once, if it is still running. The ship comes areound the corner of the building, cannons go off, people go into the water, the ship is sunk... I thought it was a pretty cool gimick.

We know you are a woman without announcing it. Unless you are rich, don't take your wife to any hotels for shopping. Window shopping if you dare.. At the end of the strip is an outlet mall. Sometimes you can find some good stuff in there if shopping is on your list.

Also also Paris's buffet is bar none. The O show was the best I've seen.
