surferskin 30 Posted March 5, 2008 http://www.mtv.co.uk/channel/mtvuk/news/05...ck_swayze_dying One US mag’ says the movie star has cancer and just five weeks to live… Patrick Swayze is dying from cancer and has just five weeks to live, according to The National Enquirer. The magazine says the star of Dirty Dancing and Ghost was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in January and that it has spread to other organs. They claim Swayze has been having radical chemotherapy treatment recently but that doctors are not optimistic it will kill the disease. An insider told The National Enquirer: "He was told he could have two more treatments, but his cancer was not responding. In short - they held out little hope for a cure." You gotta admit, road house was a bad ass movie and this makes real men sad. ETA: Of course, the National Enquirer makes a sleazy headline to get attention. Patrick DOES still have pancreatic cancer but his prognosis is much better than having just 5 weeks to live. http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5g-nrriy...4bisbwD8V7UCN00

edjr 6,588 Posted March 5, 2008 Dirty Dancing star Patrick Swayze has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and has been given only five weeks to live, a US magazine has claimed. For the past month, the 55-year-old actor has been travelling to Stanford University's prestigious cancer centre in Palo Alto for radical chemotherapy, The National Enquirer has reported. The publication asserts Mr Swayze and his wife Lisa Niemi, who both have pilot's licenses, have been flying their private Beechcraft plane into California's Palo Alto airport. It just located minutes away from the Stanford Cancer Centre where the actor has allegedly received outpatient treatment. He received three doses of chemotherapy and the tumour shrank but it was less than his doctors had hoped for, according to the report. A source was quoted in the magazine as saying: "He was told he could have two more treatments, but his cancer was not responding. "In short - they held out little hope for a cure." Mr Swayze shot to fame with the 1987 hit Dirty Dancing and then became one of Hollywood's most famous leading men after starring in Ghost alongside Demi Moore in 1990. He is said to have lost more than 20 pounds in the past few weeks and is restricted to a liquid diet because he has trouble keeping down solid food. The source told the magazine: "It's time to start praying for a miracle." An email to Mr Swayze's spokesperson was not immediately returned.

Vince44 205 Posted March 5, 2008 [keanureeves] That man is focking an animal[/keanureeves] Hewitt could have kicked Racki's ass had he not got kicked out of that game for trying to hit the ref with the puck. I remember him knocking Racki down and yelling at him to get up cause he was gonna carve him up. The Hamilton Mustangs somehow won that final game without the injured Sutton and the suspended Hewitt. parrot 789 Posted March 5, 2008 Point Break? I can't really call it good, nor do I put it in the "so bad it's good" category like Roadhouse, but I always seem to watch it.
