Sweetness_34 0 Posted January 18, 2010 Favre in the NFCC game. Fudgepackers watching playoffs from home after giving up 51 ...I repeat 51 points....Enjoy the off-season beotches. I know it kills fudgepacker fans to watch Favre win in the Viking uni. The fudgepackers could have have had Favre right now AND had Rodgers for the future. Instead they give the Vikings a gift and now they have to be embarrassed to watch Favre sweep the team who's fans could not get Favre's schlong out of their mouths and now he will be playing in the game to go to the SB while fudgepacker fans are discussing how great their D was last year.....after it gave up 51 points in a playoff game. At least Rodgers made some great turnovers....clutch!!!

Ooops...I mean, who do you think Denver will take with the Bears high first round pick? And their 2nd rounder? You realize you are still talking trash about a team that beat the bears twice...and actually went to the playoff right? and did not trade away 2 drafts worth of first day picks for a guy who lead the league in INTs. It does not kill us...instead...we realize if Favre was around right now...Rodgers might not be. That if Favre had had a bad year last year in Green Bay...he might not be playing this year anyway. But whats even more funny...you keep coming back to this thread to take a beating after 99% of what you said has been proven to be so completely whacko!!!! Too funny. That and you were nowhere to be seen for the last month or so of the season. All of a sudden GB loses on the road in the postseason and here you are.

Sweetness_34 0 Posted January 25, 2010 Pretty funny to see Favre throw another pick because he wanted to show off his arm strength....every time he gets to the playoffs he throws picks that hurt his team (6 ints against Rams; Int in the 4th and 26 game; Int vs the Giants in OT and now this). I could care less about Favre. But the facts still remain....he did much better than Rodgers did this year and the fudgepackers management helped the hated Vikings get to within an OT win of the SB. Chronic Husker 85 Posted January 25, 2010 The idiocy in this thread is stunning. I expect as much from Sweetness and swampdog. But from donhaas and the rest of the Packer backers? Over the next ten years, Rodgers should be one of the best QBs in the league. With a young roster loaded with talent, Packer fans have a lot to look forward to. But the Vikings didn't lose today because of Favre. He played pretty admirably. How many times did Fox show him getting up after getting hammered? And how many sacks did he take tonight? It wasn't his fault just about every offensive player coughed up the ball. Throwing as much as he did, you have to expect some interceptions sooner or later. His TD/INT ratio this year was outstanding. Without Favre, Minnesota was a borderline wild-card team. If he comes back next year, Minnesota will be the favorite in the NFC. They have the complete team. Defense, running game, everything. Damn near went into one of the toughest places to play in the NFL against a very powerful offense and won. I'm not impressed with Favre's yearly retirement fiasco but the guy put it all out there tonight and this whole season. The Vikings certainly have no regrets about signing him and will thank their lucky stars if he decides to play another season or two. That being said, the NFL is a business. When GB forced Favre out it was a good move. The Packers weren't going to be a Super Bowl team this season or last with Favre. Rodgers paid his dues and deserved his chance. He flourished and will continue to do so. When SF treated Montana similar, you didn't see the 49er fans rooting against him when Montana played for the Chiefs. That's what's saddening. When SF treated Montana similar, you didn't see the 49er fans rooting against him when Montana played for the Chiefs. That's what's saddening. The split between Montana/Niners and Favre/Packers were not similar. I'm not going to get into all the details, but when Favre was traded there was much more animosity from both sides. Packer fans want Favre to fail, because Favre's motivation for coming back was to stick it to the Packers. No shit we're going to hope he fails, and fails miserably...and I'm not some random Packer fan who got pissed when Brett left. I saw he was a egomaniac before he even left. Someone bumped an old thread here a while ago....and it was in there. So it's not being bitter, it's seeing an asshole and hoping an asshole fails. And you can blame fumbles and penalties and blah blah blah....but what it comes down to is Favre had a chance to run. All he had to do was not fuck up....and like he's done so many times before....he fucked it up trying to make the highlight reel.
donhaas 18 Posted January 25, 2010 But the Vikings didn't lose today because of Favre. They lost because Favre threw a stupid, stupid, stupid bonehead INT when he had the incredible open space to have walked (backwards if he wanted to) into automatic Longwell's FG range.... So, yes, they lost because of Favre... Minn. defense played outstanding again and deserve to be in the Super Bowl... When SF treated Montana similar, you didn't see the 49er fans rooting against him when Montana played for the Chiefs. That's what's saddening. Chronic Husker.... you're not really this dumb.... I know you are not.... Are the Chiefs a fierce ugly border rival of SF? Think about things a little bit before you post them... Did Chief fans for 16 years say that Montana sucked, that he was most overrated quarterback in the history of the game and an interception machine? I can't remember.... did they chuck pills and Vikodin at Montana for 16 years? And then after 16 years of hate and saying he sucked, did they start to slob Montana's 40 year old knob, gargle his nutz and taunt SF fans at every chance they get? Answer this one truthfully... The answer is "No, the situations aren't even close...." I wish Favre nothing but the best.... but when he's playing for our chief rival (and doing so out of spite and because of a situation he called), I'm not going to cry about him focking up the game for said bandwagon fanbase who taunted him and maligned him for a decade and a half..... HTH!

Said QB has a great season...but falls short of the title... Packers go 11-5...beat the Bears twice...and make the playoffs. Yet...the Bears fan is still running his trap. Funny how with that creampuff schedule you could not even get to the damn playoff or a winning record. As for all hate Favre now? You are completely wrong...as usual. Most still respect him. Hate that he was playing for the Vikings and wanted them to fail. Obviously TT did not really have that much faith in Rodgers....otherwise he would not draft a QB in the 2nd round (Brian Brohm). Would he? So one game is why Favre "did so much better than Rodgers this year"? BTW...I did see Rodgers INT and fumble. I also watched the rest of that game and know what he did. Also...I did not base my thought of Rodgers vs. Favre on that one game. And you don't know that Rodgers would have signed any extension and not wanted out. And again...if Favre had come back...played the last 2 years...they still end up with no title and he leaves after this year...you wasted 2 more years without knowing what Rodgers could do. Instead...they made the tough decision. Thinking Favre could not lead them to a title anymore. Traded him...got a 3rd round pick. Used that pick to trade up and take Clay Matthews (who they might not have had they not traded Favre) and now have a young QB with a ton of confidence who can freaking play the game quite well. Sounds like a pretty good move to most any sane person really. TT was unsure if Rodgers could handle a full season...that is for sure...which is why he drafted Brohm. At the time...Favre was at home retired and had told them just before the draft he was staying retired.

Joey Gladstone 33 Posted January 25, 2010 The fudgepacker fans are exposing themselves to be the classless pricks they have always been. How soon they forget that without Favre, they were the biggest joke in the NFL for 30 years. I love all this favre hatred and They also didn't trade two first round picks for 10 years and 200 INT's from Jay Cutler.
