mmmmm...beer 816 Posted August 29, 2008 That sneaky old focker! Alaska's Sarah "Schexy Librarian MILF" Palin Called the Soccor Mom Governor Eww La La.... Miss Wasilla 1984 BEST PICTURE YET... stolen from edjr's post. Alright... she's got my vote! By LIZ SIDOTI, Associated Press Writer 8 minutes ago DENVER - John McCain kept his vice presidential pick a closely guarded secret hours before the high-stakes announcement Friday as top prospects seemed to drop away and speculation moved to darkhorse candidate Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. ADVERTISEMENT Two GOP strategists close to the McCain campaign said all indications pointed to Palin, 44, a self-styled "hockey mom" and political reformer. The strategists spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized by the McCain camp to discuss the matter. There was no confirmation from McCain or his advisers. With an announcement scheduled in Dayton, Ohio, an associate of Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty said the governor had been informed he is not McCain's pick. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak for Pawlenty, who had all but ruled himself out. Related Video

Miss Wasilla 1984 Alright... she's got my vote! Ok, that helps him electoraly how? And its really gonna be a big boost to his energy policy. So much for alternative energy. Hell, maybe he'll pick up a couple of clinton wackos for picking a woman. Although at his age, she has a fair to middling shot at becoming president, so she may get more scrutiny as a result. Me_2006 14 Posted August 29, 2008 Sweet pick! the Hillary feminist vote could really be swayed here. Plus, she helped clean up the Republican scandals and can really negate the whole change thing Obama keeps talking about in Washington, as she's actually done some of it. She's got a son that just recently joined the military and can defuse the sob story the Democrats keep playing about the war in Iraq as McCain has served (if you haven't heard) and she has a son that joined AFTER Obama and the rest started screaming to pull out and having a little boy with Down Syndrome that I believe she knew about well in advance gives her all the credibility to talk about abortion that she wants, IMO. Love the pick.

phillybear 366 Posted August 29, 2008 So, Obama picks an old school white male senator to be his running mate. No hope, no change, same old politics, business as usual. McCain picks a hot young MILF. McCain = HOPE. CHANGE. PIMP.

The Moz 71 Posted August 29, 2008 other reasons to like her Details of Palin's personal life have contributed to her political image. She hunts, eats moose burgers, ice fishes, rides snowmobiles, and owns a float plane.[5][6] Palin holds a lifetime membership with the National Rifle Association. She admits that she used marijuana when it was legal
jerryskids 7,085 Posted August 29, 2008 I like it I think... she sued the focking US government about drilling, so you know she's got spunk. So much for the hope/change message from Obama bin Biden. wiffleball 4,797 Posted August 29, 2008 She hunts, eats moose burgers, ice fishes, rides snowmobiles, and owns a float plane Well, that's certainly all I need to know to know she's perfectly qualifed to be POTUS.
Flashover 0 Posted August 29, 2008 I'm sure the same people that criticize Obama for his lack of experience won't hesitate to do the same for Palin's lack of experience right? First we elect a president because we could "Have a beer with him" now we may elect a president because his VP is "Hot". Good luck with her debating Biden, especially foreign policy. wiffleball 4,797 Posted August 29, 2008 Tragically, we have blacks who will vote for BoMamma simply because he's black and now Women who will vote for the McCain ticket simply because it has a woman on it. Reading her background, "Dan Quayle" just keeps springing to mind. Would you seriously want this woman anywhere NEAR the oval office? McCain's like 94 seconds from death and we've got THIS one in the bullpen? Welcome to the year of the token.

McCain's like 94 seconds from death and we've got THIS one in the bullpen? Yes, we would be focked if she had to take McCain's place. Very risky pick for McCain. Aside from her being a hot chick, I don't see what she brings.
phillybear 366 Posted August 29, 2008 On one side, you have fat, manly, cold, robotic Hillary. On the other side, you got VPILF Palin. I guess this conclusively proves that all liberal women are ugly.

First we elect a president because we could "Have a beer with him" now we may elect a president because his VP is "Hot". Good luck with her debating Biden, especially foreign policy. Problem is, Obama is (and has been for the past 3 years) running for President. Palin was chosen as a VP candidate. I know McCain is old, blah blah blah but the two just don't have the same requirements.
Strike 6,022 Posted August 29, 2008 After reading her Wikipedia Bio I think this is a good pick. She seems to have genuine ethics, something that can't be said about Obama: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarah_Palin

Ok children, she's hot, for a politician. Isn't this the one arena where hottness shouldn't matter? I mean, why not just nominate a victoria's secret model then? congrads, you are focking ghey. And you are a doosh. It's ghey friday, not doosh day. I think you answered your own question. My only point is, isn't there a semi-qualified republican broad from a State that McCain has a chance in hell of losing? Florida? Ohio? Penn? Virginia? I mean, Alaska is a sure thing. And we'll see how those women voters roll when she starts talking all pro life, pro gun, etc. She speaks for Alaska, and she wants us to line up and drill her. Right. As governer of Alaska, she is almost by definition in the pocket of the oil industry. Is that really what McCain wants to have on the ticket, since the Republicans already have credibility issues on that score?

Apparently, what she brings is she's really opposed to abortion. Which is important in this era of - well, abortion's pretty much a non-issue right now and nothing's in front of the courts, and the number of abortions is dropping every year and is near its lowest point since measured history, and the overwhelming number of abortions occurs before synapses even start firing and the number of contraception options is at its highest ever, but STILL benig opposed to abortion is really really really important. For some reason. - Did we mention she's "hot"? - And eats moose burgers? - So there. Joe Biden doesn't eat moose.

Strike 6,022 Posted August 29, 2008 I just thought this was funny. Some people seem to think those stances are contradictory. I've never seen that.
