Mangini and Belichick

Recommended Posts

Did anyone see the game ending handshake? Mangini had to actually pull Belichick just to say "good game". Belichick is such a sore loser!!

Can this stop?

He went out...shook his hand.

It was like any other handshake yet people make a big deal about this again.

you're a loser.

after that game last night, you come here and ask about the handshake?

seriously?

that's the tabloid sh!t you're interested in?

take it to the curly board.

maybe one of them actually watched the football game last night and they can tell you that the two coaches shook hands after overtime.

He wasn't even the best coach in the game last night.

He's 6-4. Take away the cheating and he's a slightly above average coach.

Sort of like Batman, I see a beacon being put out there for Newbie to enter a Patriots thread. :nono:

I hope you mean one of the coordinators was the best coach because it sure as hell wasn't Mangini.

I think Westhoff is a brilliant special teams coach but you have to give Leon Washington some credit. The guy is unbelievable in the open field.

Are you really that dumb?

He loses one of the top 2 QB's in Football , his first 3 RB's , his all pro Safety , and now Adailus Thomas and Still has his team 6 - 4 and likely to make the playoffs.

Take Manning , Addai , Rhodes , Sanders , and Freeney from the Colts and they don't win 2 games. Take Eli , Jacobs, Bradshaw,Ward , Pierce , and whoever their Safety is from the Giants and see how many games they would have won right now.

ofcourse this is going to be talked about. Probably for as long as these two guys are coaching these respective teams.

if you don't understand that then you're a moron.

Billy did this to himself by being absolutely classless the first time he lost to Mangini. Mangini was one of his protoges and you just don't act like that as a human being.

so from now on you will have to hear about every handshake they have after a game especially if the Pats lose.

I won't go as far as saying he is not a good coach but remember, he is just 6-4 this year without Brady and with a very easy schedule. Granted he has had a number of injuries to deal with this year but teams go thru that every year. but still, Brady > Bellicheck. Hey i still think Phil Jackson is a good coach but MJ or Shaq > Jackson.

It's been pretty well established that BB isn't Mr. Congeniality. In fact he's something of a pr!ck to a lot of people. I don't see a lot of people arguing otherwise. But if it makes you feel better to beat that dead-horse over every post-game handshake, knock yourself out.

Talk about it when he does something bad that deserves to be talked about and bash him about it.

But last night was not one of those instances.

And Im hardly a Pats and BB defender.

thanks for the encouragement but I only posted in response to all the posts I saw that seemed to be whining about how this is still an issue.

Im mainly just pointing out that we are going to hear about it, after every time these two teams play.

i personally don't think there was anything wrong with last nights handshake but because of bills prior actions, its always going to be brought up.

Damn. Here I was going to reply that big deal about the handshake then I read WW post. Now I'm thinking 'BB made this an issue so he deserves to have it brought up again and again.' Well done bud.

Rodney Harrison's an all-pro safety? :first:

Losing Brady furthers my point about him being a slightly above average coach.

You've also failed to mention another really big difference between this year's team and the Patriots teams from the Super Bowl-era. I love how Patriots fans love to pretend that never happened.

I don't have a horse in this fight, but you're pretty much the moron if you think the Patriots are doing anything but overachieving this year...

This is actually the season that PROVES his coaching excellence and not vice versa.

For the records, a coin flip decided that game...

Mangina should have had that game wrapped up by halftime, you must have been waiting for the handshake and missed the actual game.

I've withheld my judgement up until now, desperately trying to give Bill Belichick the benefit of the doubt but last night was just too much to take. That handshake was totally classless. The way he just shook Eric's hand and quick ran away showed a total lack of class. This guy needs lessons in how to be classy from the likes of class acts like Dungy or LT or something. He needs to go to class class so he's not such a classless jerk who lacks class.

I'm serious.

I would have loved it if Mangini held tight to Bellichick's hand and MADE him stand there for a few seconds and talk. I wonder if BB's head would have exploded or if he'd have violently shook his arm until he got loose.

Please check his win loss record without Brady.....then come back to me with sensible argument that he is anything more than an average coach.

His lifetime record without Brady shows he is an average coach.

so he is an excellent coach cause he takes his team to a 6-4 record beating Jets, 49ers, Bills, Rams, Denver and the Chiefs?

Not a single playoff team from 2007. And at the end of the season, probably only the Jets and maybe Denver have a winning record.

It could be that his best coaching job was the year he got a hapless Browns team into the playoffs.

A coach's win/loss record isn't always the barometer that should be used in determining how good a coach is.

Oh yeah, and Brady would probably be a third string QB for some other hapless team out their if it weren't for BB drafting him .....think about it!!

so he doesnt stop to talk about how the kids are doing, and how wonderful life is when he goes out and fulfills his obligations that makes him a terrible person, im sure none of you have ever done anything like that. Get focking real people, especially you newbie, its a handshake.

game=important

how two coaches feel about each other = pointless

the celebrity world that surrounds us gets us into the idea of how some famous person feels about their PERSONAL issues is something for us to judge a person on, regardless of how good of a coach one is.

That's because sports fans in New England and New York feel the world revolves around their sports teams, and the rest of us are lucky to be here. :dunno:

Belicheat is a salty fock, though. A few more seasons without a return to the SB AND without the sideline cameras, and people will start to wonder.
