t.j 35 Posted January 11, 2009 Wow. Many people said going into the playoffs that Arizona was the worst playoff team ever. Now they are hosting the conference title game. Discuss. (Please do not confuse this thread with the official Eagles-Cardinals NFC Championship thread)
idiotekniQues 0 Posted January 11, 2009 definitely rootin for the cards to go all the way now that the g-men are out. as a consolation prize this offseason the giants still have the recent memory of the greatest superbowl victory of all time but the offense couldnt close the deal today. giatns didnt deserve to win. The Next Generation 10 Posted January 11, 2009 On our way to a 4-6 seed conference title game in BOTH conferences. Fugly. Why fugly? This ain't your Daddy's NFL. With all the parity and when there are no true great teams, this is what you get. The hot team's advance. I see no reason why the championship games and SB can't be great games. stonewall 647 Posted January 12, 2009 This is exactly what I love about the NFL. Nobody really knows squat about what is going to happen any given Sunday. Just like the Giants last year, the Cards, after getting dissed by every "knowlegable" analyst, are getting hot in the playoffs, and now it is anybodies ball game. I am not a Arizona homer, but I am a Warner fan, and would love to see them take it the distance.....with Warner retiring a champ (again).

But i never once have heard him preach to the camera. All i have heard is what espn has told me. ESPN does Warner and Kitna's bible thumping for them. As far as thanking god goes, I would say 50-60% of the players in any sport do that.
R8RMick 242 Posted January 12, 2009 I think Warner was the MVP even before this playoff run started. One thing is definite. ALL the young, hyped up QB's in this league should be taking a long look at how Warner puts that ball in there and lets his recievers make the play. There's a difference between forcing a ball into coverage and being forceful with your decisions throwing the ball. Warner knows that difference pretty well. Of course, it helps to have All-World talent at WR as well...

The Next Generation 10 Posted January 12, 2009 Any word on whether Boldin will play? Anquan Boldin (hamstring) said his injury improved with week's rest and is hopeful of playing against the Eagles in the NFC championship game. "I want to get out there for a couple days and get a couple practices under my belt before I step out on the game field," Boldin said. Though he'll likely be held out of early week practices, we expect to see Boldin in the starting lineup versus the Eagles.

Well, nobody was more surprised than me. however, I think the cards were actually the first or second team to clinch a playoff spot, so they had the benefit of giving teams a different look than they planned to use in the playoffs, rest key starters, and more. I'm still surprised to see them here, but they had a good game plan and they executed. so good for them. Just remember.... they havnt won anything Yet. idiotekniQues 0 Posted January 13, 2009 i have man-love for kurt warner. he has a great story and seems like a standup guy and is fun as hell to watch chuck the rock. he is accurate and makes clutch throws. as far as fantasy goes i have a man-crush on fitzy. guy is a beast and did me right in two leagues this year and the guy is a thrill to watch play - plus he is no prima donna wide receiver like ocho or TO the clown - he does the talking on the field. i would be rooting for arizona to win if the g-men werent even in the playoffs to begin with, now that blue is out rootin for the cards has an additional bonus since they can take out the iggles. GO FITZY AND WARNER!
