MDC 8,264 Posted March 5, 2009 Three questions 1. Who the fock are you? 2. What team do you root for? 3. How many rings do Peyton and McNabb each have? 1. I'm Monkey Deathcar, motherfocker. 2. I root for the Philadelphia Eagles. 3. TO won't care about Peyton's ring when the Colts get bounced in round 1 by the Chargers next year as usual.

Right, TO will get pissed if they lose, but his whining and moaning won't have any credence in Indy. Peyton has never been benched for a nobody unless we had home-field clinched in week 17 or something. also, hi monkey deathcar. Whatever the hell that is. Indianapolis is a very nice, clean, nowhere town that nobody cares about. Owens doesn't want to play in some backwater and the Colts are obviously a lot smarter than their fans because they're not signing that cancer anyway. You have a WR who blames his QB, and a QB that blames anybody on his team. They would meet at the horseshoe and all hell would break loose.
NewbieJr 541 Posted March 5, 2009 Flat out, Manning would tell the owner, GM, and head coach, "No focking well in hell is that asswhole coming here". And it would never be discussed again. End of story.

Nomad99 867 Posted March 6, 2009 What about Detroit???? Megatron seems to get his yards no matter what the situation.....I would think with TO in the mix CJ would be ripping off more big ones. Not sure how much $$ they have

Not sure how much $$ they have Yeah, that's what you want on a team that is facing the biggest rebuilding project since Hiroshima. A prima donna locker room cancer that will torment whatever QB is there, make the rookie head coach and GM have migranes, and then not even be around three years from now when the team might actually start turning a corner. Bad Bad idea.

Bad Bad idea. I think TO ANYWHERE is a bad idea......but, a 1 year contract & 3/4 of a season of "Good" behavior could be attractive to DET if he could spread the field & give them a chance to open up the offense. I'm not a DET fan....just thinking os scenarios
KSB2424 3,175 Posted March 6, 2009 Can somebody remind me of how the money is divided betweent the teams, when a person under contract is released and then picked up by another team? I heard that the Cowboys are on the books for like 9 million this season to T.O. So how much would it cost the team that did pick him up? If it is pretty much a free roll, I don't see why a team would not take a chance on him. If he causes a big problem they could just drop him ala MeShawn. Low Risk / High Reward. RLLD 4,283 Posted March 6, 2009 While it could NEVER happen.....not even the slightest potential.....the only place where he could likely exist would be Pittsburg An african american coach.... A team full of vets to keep him in check........ A team capable of winning enough to keep his crying to a minimum...... A playoff calibre team to keep him from crying about that..... A culture within the organization that would be capable of putting him in his place..... JMHO

KSB2424 3,175 Posted March 6, 2009 The 9 million just shows on the Cowboys cap total. They are not actually paying him anything. So what would it take to sign the guy? I'm not versed on NFL contracts, but are most of them not guaranteed? Why wouldn't a team sign a guy like Owens and structure the contract to make it a low risk/high reward deal for the team? I think a medoicre team that could use a talent infusion would be crazy NOT to sign him IF they can structure a deal like that. Ifhe acts up just cut him ala Keyshawn. If he plays without problems he gets incentives and bonuses.

That's what jerry jones did the 1st time around with him. didn't he get a 5mill salary and then a 5mill offseason bonus each year? made it easy to cut him anytime. only mistake was extending that deal last year and givinga big bonus

Dumb move on his part in retrospect. But damn, If the Panthers came out and said that they signed T.O. to a incentive laden contract where it would be easy and cheap for them to cut him if things went south, but T.O. would be compensated if he met performance levels, then I would be happy. Like I said. Low risk / High reward

Frank M 181 Posted March 8, 2009 Are the Bills getting new unis? I think when I made that prediction, it was about five minutes before he signed with Buffalo. But you gotta admit it wasn't a bad guess. Of all the teams he could have signed with, what was more likely, Oakland or Buffalo?

I think a medoicre team that could use a talent infusion would be crazy NOT to sign him IF they can structure a deal like that. Ifhe acts up just cut him ala Keyshawn. If he plays without problems he gets incentives and bonuses. the first contract with TO didn't hve a real signing bonus so he would be easy to cut at the time. it was 5mill per season then a 5 mill offseason bonus each year to encourage him to behave. problem is last year jerry tore up the deal and signed him to a 4yr with a 12mill bonus. Every signing bonus is salary cap averaged through the life of the deal so it would be a 3mill hit each year. so last year it was 3, now that he's cut the rest of the bonus is lumped immediately to this year, 9mill. NFL players complain that the only sure thing is their signing bonus and the team can cut you anytime...but sometimes it works out to the players benefit where he got a 12mill bonus for 1 year
