phillybear 366 Posted October 3, 2010 Geez. Laying an egg right before the bye. The bye is next week, right? Well, I didn't expect to beat San Diego, but I expected to beat the Rams going into the season. 2-2 after 4 games is about as good of a start that I could have realistically hoped for. But how do you only score 3 points vs the suck ass Rams and their suckass rookie QB? Yuck.

Bradford doesn't play defense no seriously though, time to get Whitehurst in there and see what you guys got for the future. Bradford joke aside, the Rams defense isn't much and Hass could only muster 3 points? ouch. Its been real, but time to sit his ass.
Joey Gladstone 33 Posted October 3, 2010 Hasselbeck is done. He has no arm strength, can't avoid pressure. Time for Whitehurst. Might as well throw him out there and hope his arm strength and athleticism can makeup for his inexperience and lack of Hass' leadership. I hate to be a broken record, but we need to have some idea in what we have with him before next season...probably before April even.

After Sunday's loss to the Rams, coach Pete Carroll reiterated that Matt Hasselbeck will remain his starting quarterback. Once again, Carroll said he did not contemplate bringing backup Charlie Whitehurst in. With a 70.7 passer rating a six interceptions through four games, the veteran's leash should be getting shorter. There's no way he makes it through the season as the starter at this pace. -Rotoworld

So if Carroll isn't going to commit to Whitehurst after swapping the #40 pick for pick 60-something and then throwing in a 2011 third and paying the guy 10 million, Carroll and is basically telling us he made a mistake on the guy. Long year ahead... If you havs so many new players, many of them starters, many of them young guys, you don't want to compound the situation by starting a QB with no real experience. First year starters are sh!t. And the whole team will be effected by a new QB sh!tty play. You are better off bringing in Whitehurst in a more stable situation that ruin him by surrounding him with a sh!tty offensive line and no WRs and no running game. I place a hell of a lot more blame on the offensive line yesterday than Hasselbeck. Do you want Whitehurst running for him life every play? At least Hasselbeck has a chance back there. Whitewurst won't.

Hasselbeck is done and it is painful to watch him try to heave the ball 15 yards or simply fall down at the slightest bit of pressure.

Good thing the shitty Bears got a few turnovers and long runs out of Forte early, because Carolina outplayed the Bears for the last 3.5 quarters of their game. That's sad. Joey Gladstone 33 Posted October 17, 2010 Peppers has been a terror this year and Okung played him great! First start of hs career and he silences one of the best Defensive ends of the past 10 years. The offense looked much different with him playing left tackle. The Bears might be overrated, but this is the biggest Hawk's road win in over 2 years. phillybear 366 Posted October 24, 2010 A diplomatic way of saying Curry is a bust! I don't understand your seeming "obsession", well, concern at the least, about Aaron Curry. He may never turn into a superstar, but he's been fine. He is not someone being singled out for bad play by anyone that is really digesting game film. I've seen him involved and play solid in coverage and pressuring the QB whenever I've looked at plays from different vantage points.

I've seen him involved and play solid in coverage and pressuring the QB whenever I've looked at plays from different vantage points. The No. 4 overall pick in last year’s draft, Curry signed a six-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks that included $34 million guaranteed. His role Sunday in Chicago was to play about one-third of Seattle’s 59 snaps on defense against the Bears. phillybear 366 Posted October 24, 2010 1/3 of the snaps? Actions speak louder than words. I understand the need to scheme for particular offenses, like Martz's. Curry is fine in coverage vs the other team's TE and so forth, but I can't get inside the game plan to see why they made certain personnel decisions. Curry didn't fit the scheme last week. Let's see how he grades out this week and the rest of the season. Maybe I'm more optimistic on this guy. Which is a stretch for me, ready to throw anybody and everybody under the bus. Meh. Let's just focus on 4-2. For now.

While I typed that last sentence, Cutler got sacked again. The combined wins and losses of all the teams in the NFC West after week 7 = 11-15. Cutler just got sacked again. After tonight's game between Green Bay and Minnesota, the combined wins and losses of all the teams in the NFC North after week 7 = 11-15. Cutler just got the snap and took a knee. So he wouldn't get sacked again. Seattle's record of 4-2 is better than any other team's record in the NFC West and NFC North. Cutler is in ICU. Send him flowers and a love letter, Sweetness. Maybe he won't die from AIDS like Walter Payton.
