FlaHawker 24 Posted November 9, 2010 wait, WTF??!!! I thought you couldn't change the title?! It was so much easier to find the weekly hilarity of this thread because like you, I was sure it was AN EXCITING TIME TO BE A SEAHAWKS FAN!!! oh sweet baby jesus, i'm not sure i've ever found something so amusing as Seahawks fan and the undisputed king of the most retarded fanbase in the NFL, Flahawker. Go cry about Mike Tomlin focktard. FlaHawker 24 Posted November 9, 2010 Well jgshiteface showed his true bandwagon colors. The Hawks were 4-2 and he was no where to be found; the Hawks lose a few games and just like shiteness34 he comes running in a Seahawk thread banging his chest. A pure fockin bandwagoner. Well, once a bandwagoner always a bandwgoner. Now go get back to sucking sweetness's hairy yamsack you unemployed mongoloid degenerate!

Joey Gladstone 33 Posted November 15, 2010 I guess it is a little reassuring that we can assert ourselves against the bottom portion of the league. That being said, I think Detroit and Buffalo would stomp us. And while he is a shell of his former self, Matt Hasselbeck is still one tough S.O.B.
FlaHawker 24 Posted November 15, 2010 TheNewsTribune.comSection: Seattle Seahawks < Back to Regular Story Page -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Seahawks take charge of division race DAVE BOLING; STAFF WRITER GLENDALE, Ariz. – Among the many joyful screams echoing out of the Seattle Seahawks locker room Sunday evening, at least one was coherent: “Let’s get this division.” Officially, when microphones are in their face, the Seahawks will say there are a lot of games left to be played, and anything can happen in the next seven weeks. But their 36-18 win over Arizona on Sunday was a very important outcome - with possible long-range significance – and they know it. Coupled with San Francisco’s win over St. Louis, the 5-4 Hawks are the only team in the NFC West with a winning record. Their fifth win matches last year’s season total, and is their second on the road this season. It meant they swept the defending divisional champ, and did it with the kind of big plays they haven’t been making; and they did it after being positively dreadful in back-to-back losses the last two weeks. As defensive tackle Brandon Mebane assessed: “It’s big; real big. We’ve never won down here as long as I’ve been (a Seahawk).” “There is a lot of football left, but you know, to be past the halfway point and leading our division … it is the position we had set our sights on a long time ago,” coach Pete Carroll said. “Now it’s ours to work our way through and control the thing.” Look, Arizona is not good. The Cards have now lost four straight, one of those to the Seahawks in Seattle. They came into this one with a 3-5 record and ranked near the bottom of the league in many categories on both sides of the ball. But the Seahawks haven’t won here in four years. Heck, they haven’t won on the road in many places in recent years. Now they’ve got two road wins this season – after having only three total in the past two years. Carroll made it a coaching point that the team consider this game a new start, that the second half of the season was theirs to dictate. And so much of what arose in this game seems to have meaning beyond this week. They showed resilience in bouncing back from an early deficit, but also in reviving from terrible showings the past two weeks. They have talked for months about the need for players to “step up” when they get the chance. Role guys like Deon Butler and Ben Obomanu had big catches, and linebacker Aaron Curry came up with two sacks after having been mostly ineffective as a pass rusher. And they won this by being tough. Receiver Mike Williams broke the pinky finger on his right hand in practice Friday. Apparently, the bone was sticking out through the skin. But on Sunday, he used that hand to come down with one of the more amazing one-handed catches by a Seahawks receiver … ever. Quarterback Matt Hasselbeck, meanwhile, suffered a wrist injury that required a cast be put on his left arm, but he came back in the second half and finished one of his most productive days (333 passing yards). Somehow, after getting shoved around for two weeks in a row, the Seahawks came back and generated huge confidence, and even a degree of swagger with this win in Arizona. “It’s been a while since we’ve won down here and it definitely feels like a springboard,” center Chris Spencer said. “You can feel this could be the spring we need to get the rest of the way through the season.” The Seahawks go to New Orleans next week for a much tougher challenge. They still have injury and manpower issues. But they’ve got some confidence, and the division is theirs to take if they can. “There was a time when we owned this division,” Hasselbeck said. “And (the Cardinals) took it from us – that’s exactly what they did. We gave them the opportunity down here and they took it and didn’t look back and went to the Super Bowl. For the guys who were here, we know what needed to happen … we had to earn it back.” They did exactly that Sunday. Joey Gladstone 33 Posted December 5, 2010 A couple weeks ago, if somebody had asked me who the worst team in the league is, I would have answered with the Carolina Panthers. Now Seattle is down 14-0 to them. We're still better then the focking Cardinals though!!
phillybear 366 Posted December 5, 2010 Red Bryant out. Mike Williams out. Season is soooooooo over. I've never seen such a stretch of poor defense on 3rd downs in my life. They allow something like 9 out of 10 3rd downs to be converted in the last few games. It's ridiculous. I think I'm changing my rooting interests, and it might not be such a bad idea to lose out and draft higher. This simply is not a good team right now, and has zero competent depth. I can accept a struggling offense despite how competently Hasselbeck is playing with no weapons around him. But a defense that is just so bad, so horrific, and is regressing every single week....sigh.

phillybear 366 Posted December 5, 2010 Seattle just can't win without special teams and turnovers. And it looks like both are happening in this wild 2nd Half turnaround. The inconsistency of this team just is a huge mind fock all the time. I don't know if Leon Washington getting tripped up was a bad thing. Lynch gets a 2nd TD and maybe it helps pick up the play of the running game in future games, a shot of confidence.
Joey Gladstone 33 Posted December 5, 2010 Jesus Clausen sucks, he leaves the pocket for no reason. SO glad we didn't draft him.
phillybear 366 Posted December 6, 2010 Well, the final game of the season vs St Louis will decide the division. Winning one of the next 3 games before that would be nice. Specifically the SF game. Another game, more injuries. Obomanu with his hand injury. I wonder if he broke it. I don't think that a WR core lead by Brandon Stokley, Deon Butler, and Golden Tate will strike the fear of God into any secondary. Seattle....the place where WRs go to get maimed. Going strong for around 6 years now. I don't understand how St Louis continues to win with that roster and those stats, but then again I guess you could say the same about the Seahawks. Joey Gladstone 33 Posted December 6, 2010 Good to know we're only the 3rd worst team in the league. Obviously, the only winable games are the division matchups. The only reason I'd like to see us win them is because I dont like the Niners or the Rams. I have no desire to see the Hawks in the playoffs at 8-8 getting slaughtered in the first round. 6-10 was my prediction before the season started.

FlaHawker 24 Posted December 8, 2010 Boling: NFC West champ will have last laughTHE NEWS TRIBUNE Last updated: December 8th, 2010 06:49 AM (PST) RENTON – As much as we want to joke about the low-rent neighborhood that is the NFC West Division, somebody is going to win this thing and get a home playoff game for the achievement. There will be an outcry from fans when a team with a much better record in another division stays home for the playoffs because the NFC West champ qualified. The system will be mocked. An absurd scenario exists whereby all four NFC West teams could go into the final week with 6-9 records, with the winner heading into the playoffs at 7-9 by virtue of a tiebreaker. Unfair by any standards, eh? But the rules are what they are. And this could be a time when the statutory break works in the favor of the Seahawks … if they can figure out a way to claim the title in the final month of the season. The stretch run starts Sunday at San Francisco when a game against the Niners (4-8) is crucial. At 6-6, the Seahawks are tied atop the division with the St. Louis Rams, but already have a loss to the Rams on the debit side. “This is fourth-quarter time coming up in the season and we kick it off with a great matchup and all, but it’s time for us to show the consistency that makes us worthy of having a good football season,” coach Pete Carroll said this week. “That’s there for us now. It’s exciting to be in the position. Coaches, players, everybody’s got to come meet the challenge and get it done. So it’s really a fun time for us.” Quarterback Matt Hasselbeck used an interesting term when he noted that the Hawks now are, after several seasons as afterthoughts, once again “relevant.” Perfect terminology. Relevant doesn’t necessarily mean good, and it certainly doesn’t say anything about consistency. But they truly are relevant to the discussion, and even that feels like an improvement. This time two years ago, the Seahawks had just two wins in Mike Holmgren’s final season as coach. His 10 seasons coaching the team to a Super Bowl and six playoff appearances soon would be celebrated by his getting pelted with snowballs during his final lap of Qwest Field. Last year, the Hawks had five wins but were about to set off on a four-game losing streak to wrap up the season that led to coach Jim Mora’s one-and-done ouster. So, if the division is a league-wide punch line, so what? Being able to say the word “playoffs” in December is a lot better than where this team has been. In the final four games, Seattle has two long-shot games – home against Atlanta (10-2) and a long road trip to Tampa Bay (7-5) – and two that look like “swing” games – at the Niners and home in the Jan. 2 finale against the Rams. The Rams also have two real uphill challenges – at New Orleans (9-3) this week and Kansas City (8-4) at home – with a home game against the Niners, and then ending at Seattle. If Seattle and St. Louis beat San Francisco and no others, they’ll bring 7-8 records into the final game at Qwest Field. But although San Francisco has just four wins, the 49ers are not eliminated yet, and their remaining opponents are a combined 21-27, with only San Diego (6-6) as a non-division opponent. Wins over the Seahawks, San Diego and St. Louis would put the Niners at 7-8 going into the final game at Arizona, and they would have a tie-breaking advantage of a 4-1 division record under that scenario. Carroll has stressed to the Seahawks the point that the way a team finishes is more important than how it starts. And the final four games will define this season. Trailing at halftime against a weak Carolina team on Sunday, Carroll – and everybody else in Qwest Field – sensed the season slipping toward as disappointing end as the prior two had. He got them turned around with a win pulling away in the second half. “We’ll take that as an accomplishment and then have to go forward and take it with us,” he said. “That’s the whole point now … to make sure we take it to San Francisco.” Where they will fight to remain relevant for at least one more week. Since Seattle and St Louis are currently tied for first place, the standing are done by alpha order, not current tie breaker order. Seattle is the first team listed. Therefore, Seattle is in first place. You can't be in 2nd place if you are on top of the division.
