IGotWorms 4,060 Posted December 5, 2011 As a Patriots fan, I can say that they would probably be better off losing at least one regular season game to get that monkey off their back. Hell, if I was Mike McCarthy I'd probably be figuring out how to throw a game.
nikki2200 4 Posted December 5, 2011 It would be nice to shut those fockers up. Especially since the regular season was only 14 games back then. BUT..... Man.... I need some glimmer of hope that GB isn't going to just completely focking dominate this league for the next decade. So I want them to lose just so I can have some hope for something interesting and GB not to be winning every Superbowl for years to come.
Chronic Husker 85 Posted December 5, 2011 After the Pats lost to the GMen in the Super Bowl, one of BSG's readers sent him an email. Getting caught cheating then going undefeated then choking against a wild card team in the Super Bowl is a much bigger accomplishment then playing fair, running the table and bringing home the championship. I think you get dumber every time you sleep.

Hell, if I was Mike McCarthy I'd probably be figuring out how to throw a game. That sounds like librul loser talk The Packers are mentally so much tougher than that Patriot team.... That Patriot teams had a chip on their shoulder because of the cheating....they were angry, bitter, and irrational.... throwing the ball on fourth down in the fourth quarter against Washington (and other teams) up 49-0.... not a classy, mentally-tough team with good self-esteem like the Packers. Another great distinction between the two teams is that Brady crumbles when you put a little heat on him (they had to start brand-new poosay quarterback rules because he was so scared of getting hit) Rodgers is best when you put pressure on him... These are two totally different teams

donhaas 18 Posted December 5, 2011 I agree, totally different. Pats faced much tougher competition, and all in all where a much much better team. The 07 pats would beat this version of the pack by 48 The Patriots barely, barely, barely presided over a real downtime in the NFL (winning by a FG each time).... where a quarterback could win a Super Bowl MVP for throwing for 140 yards and a TD and where the Super Bowl opposing quarterbacks were total hacks like DelHomme, McNabb, and Grossman, etc..... 2007 was the last gasp for the Patriot Dinosaur and, as you saw, they got beat by a 10-6 wildcard team.... We are in a new era of football now: Great, non-cheating, classy teams like the Packers full of gladiators who are also good sportsman and have a classy, non-adulterous coach... Sorry don, the crack in the armour has been exposed...they may have a weaker defense than this years pats ...I think they'll finish the season 2-2 but I do hope they do get lucky enough for the refs to force them into the super bowl with a perfect record. He is a great game manager and throws a nice RB and WR screen pass.... nobody does TE work like him... And I will argue to my death... TO MY DEATH!.... that nobody -- and I mean nobody! - throws a better stat-padding non-neccessary 2-yard TE pass up 25 points with :57 left than Brady does.... NOBODY! Just keep the big fellas away from him because he tends to get skitterish and flakey.... I remember that one time a defender lightly brushed up against his leg and he jumped around crying like a lunatic George Brett during the pine tar incident... parrot 789 Posted December 5, 2011 This season should be evidence enough as to who wins the Manning vs Brady debate. Manning is hurt and the Colts threaten to go winless. Brady gets hurt week one a couple years back and the Pats go 11-5 and narrowly miss the playoffs. The fact that the Patriots had the foresight to have prepared a backup that was able to step in and play at a competent NFL level, while the Colts had a backup who looks like he has never taken a snap and maybe has no business even wearing an NFL uniform, says nothing about the relative worth of Brady or Manning. HTH.
