I know hardly anything about Joe the Plumber. So maybe he's a kook trying to double down on his 15 minutes or maybe he's just a regular guy who got interested in gov't. (of which we probably need more).

 

However I'd much rather see average American's getting into the politics than the Arnold Swartzenagers (sp?), Jesse the Body Ventura's, and SNL actors of late.

If my tax rate goes up to 50% with all of the changes they want, *I* won't be able to pay MY bills. I work pretty hard and make a decent salary. Will I get govt assitance because I can't pay my bills? Probably not because I will 'make too much money every year.'

I think if you aren't living in fear of the government right now then you are a fool. I am not talking going out and getting a gun type of action, but the things that are going on there now are frightening. Bills are getting passed everyday that we aren't aware of, because we are too focused on things like Rush Limbaugh calling some random girl a slut.

 

My taxes rate did increase slightly, yet I only received a 2% raise this year. However, with Obamacare, extending unemolyment benefits, and increasing the number of people who recieve govt. assitance, it will increase exponentially over the next few years.

 

Are you going to be glad when you're working and making over $250K/year, but you only get to bring home $125k?
