Pretty true in our relationship too. We were married for a couple years after dating for 3. She remarried a coworker within a year of our divorce, so perhaps "passion" equates to interested in someone else/cheating. To her credit she later apologized to me for being immature, adding she should have done more to salvage our marriage. Maybe her passion was fading for marriage #2 at the time? :dunno:

The first guy is older, maybe 50, and pretty set in his ways. Also very controlling, not in a mean way but he expects to get his way. I couldn't live with him, even if I liked the cack. But the two of them lived together for a while so she knew that. She is a head case as well, which I guess is all I need to mention.

According to studies men who cheat tend to be serial cheaters (multiple women) for sex. Women tend to cheat with one partner to fill an emotional void. I can dig this poll up if you want? :dunno:

If that's the case, you better start throating hog. A woman that doesn't will never be "laid proper" by a self-respecting man.

It's sort of weird how after what seems like 10 years of never once referring to a wife or family, this year you started mentioning them constantly.

Perhaps he got remarried. So before he didn't mention his family cause he was divorced and now that he's hitched again he can throw it out there. :dunno:

Probably got remarried...

His wife just left him about six weeks ago and he hasn't spent one weekend night away from this forum. I highly doubt he's even talked to female since.

Maybe. I just think it's pretty strange that RP's mentioning his family coincided with his finding out that Newbie is divorced and Rusty's divorce. :dunno:

The reason you guys think RP is divorced is because rusty just got divorced and you think rp is rusty. :dunno:

But isnt rusty from houston and he has met up with houston geeks in the past. I think bert has said he met rusty. I dont think they are the same poster.

Man i hate sticking up for the troll named RP. But to counter your argument RP has mentioned his daughters numerous times over the years.

The great alias-buster Worms thinks I'm Rusty. Newbie has been his lap dog ever since.

Rusty used to live in Beaumont, but moved to Tyler a few years ago. Don't know if he ever lived in Houston, but Beaumont isn't far from there.

For the record, I don't think you're Rusty. You may be, but I never really gave it that much thought. Don't really care, to be honest. :dunno:

Rusty and RP live in the same bumfock Texas town. It's not Houston but I can't recall the exact name. (on edit: apparently it's Tyler.)

Basically, Rusty Pilot was once logged in as RP and accidentally said where he lived. Since then he's been claiming they both happen to live in the same town. He actually had a thread where he carried on a conversation with himself about his two handles having supposedly seen each other at a poker game.

Pathetic. No wonder his wife left him. :(

I try to stay away from poking fun at other posters' legitimate personal misfortune. But I did want to say, Rusty was always a total classless cack who enjoyed posting other people's personal info, so he really does deserve all the sh1t he gets about his divorce. I won't be the one to dole out the abuse, just saying he's a total ass and that's exactly how he'd act toward anyone else here so fock him.

TIA

Not entirely. While I'm sure the majority of women may cheat for emotional reasons, it asinine to think they all do.

Worms is a smart one. No way there could be 2 Geeks living in the same city. I guess this means MDC, Newbie, and Nikki are all the same person.

Newbie lives way north of Philadelphia, probably not far from Allentown; he's not even in a suburb of Philadelphia. Nikki relocates quite a bit. MDC lived in shitty Fishtown, but has since claimed that he moved.

So, region might be a better word than "city" in this particular case. But in your defense, all 3 of them exude similar, overwhelming female traits when they post here.

The passion she was referring to is probably more of the "newness" that you experience when you meet someone. The flirting, the fun, etc. not that it doesn't happen after you get married, but it does get different after you get married. Both parties have to need and want to keep that spark alive, you konw? Not that you didn't want that...but maybe she didn't.

You're probably right that the passion in the second marriage had faded as well.

A lot of people, mostly women, may not recognize that marriage can sometimes take work. Especially if that spark is fading, your have a baby, or have other kinds of stressors in the relationship. They often take that as not getting the emotional support at home, so they look to the guy that they can chat with about these problems and eventually it leads to cheating.

There is a guy at my work that I have known for years. he's married with 3 kids, I'm married with 2. I think he's been married sightly longer than I have, but he's my age. We often talk about exercising, soccer, running, work, etc. We have a few things in common. We've flirted in the past, but not really recently since we work from home a lot. He would tell me how he wished his wife would work out more, would be in better shape, etc. My husband isn't much of an exerciser either, so we'd kind of chat about that.

At one point, he started asking me to lunch. I never accepted, usually because I had stuff to do. He then suggested that I join the gym that is right next to our work and we could work out together after work or at lunch, or whatever. I said no, mainly because I didn't want to pay for a gym.

Now, in hindsight, this could have worked out very poorly for my marriage had I started doing that. I didn't see those signals that he was sending out, either...but if I HAD been into cheating, this could have been a BIG problem.

You guys care entirely too much about anonymous people on a message board

I am taking a week of vacation next week, plus i am only working a half day tomorrow. I have mentally checked out, which is why i am posting much more than normal.

I dont even care if rusty=rp or whether either or both are divorced.

I hope they aren't, losing someone you love sucks, even when you iniate it. . I wouldn't even wish divorce on hoytdwow(my least favorite poster).

Normally I would agree with you, but RP took such glee in Newbie's failed marriage that I think he deserves ridicule and scorn for his own personal failures.

But I should try to be the better man.

True. Yet didn't make a peep about Drobeski's failed marriage. And he tries convincing people that his life isn't consumed with politics. LOLOL
