This is what concerns me. I could see a boatload of corps doing this, including mine. They have already eliminated pensions and laid-off just about everybody they could lay-off. Now, they have yet another excuse to cut expenses to the detriment of their employees.

If you don't have a job, you have no money. You cannot pay a tax. Therefore, because Health Insurance is required, the .gov will provide it.

I highly doubt any medium to large coroporation would cut medical. If they want to remain competitve in the HR marketplace they won't.

 

I can forsee a lot of small business totally stop providing health insurance though. i.e. Businessess that employ less than a 100 employees. Not only would it be cheaper but it costs those business resources to manage and track those benefits. Part of Obamacare is that business have to document and track all healthcare benefits they provide and supply reports to the government. That takes resources.
