Wow. Ace of Base with three of the year's top ten songs. Most dominant chart performance since the Bee Gees back in '78. That pretty much says it all about the state of music in 1994. (although, the Seattle grunge scene is coming to save the day)

Abstain. Seriously. I focking hate Ace of Base and all this other crap. The only way I would vote in this is if Lisa Loeb offered to blow me while i was voting for her song.

Ugh. I can't bring myself to vote for any of them, but for the sake of the poll I'll go with The Sign. It's not my cup of tea but the most tolerable of the list.

I voted for Lisa Loeb because someone once told me she had to give Ethan Hawke a bj to get the song into the movie (Reality Bites). No clue if it's true, but I'm pretty sure it's true.

I actually liked the Ace of Base songs, although they all kinda sounded the same. They haven't aged well, however. Although I have them on mp3, I probably haven't listened to any of them in ten years.

Celine Dion and Mariah Carey both sang the hell out of those ballads, and I enjoy a great vocal performance. Didn't mind either song. I'll MAke Love To You sounded like every other Boys II Men song.

My vote goes to Stay by Lisa Loeb. Still like that song. Very simple and clean. It hold up. And she's cute. That never hurts.

Amazing, with the death of quality music being put out during this time period, this is the garbage that is at the top?

Wow another horrible lot !

Even though I'm both a Rod Stewart / Bryan Adams fan.....I voted for Celine's "The Power of Love" since it played a special part in my life at that time.

Ass of Bass :wall:

Wow, that really is some high quality music. I would have voted for any of the highlighted albums (and any of the songs from them) over this top 10.

Having said that, I like a lot of this top 10 for its' cheesy nostalgia. I went with Ace of Bass (I actually don't remember which one though).

Wow, I was in law school from 90-94. Pretty much had my head buried in a book the whole time and wasn't paying much attention to music. I guess I didn't miss much...

Wow. Just wow. I went with All That She Wants; a catchy enough tune that I wouldn't immediately turn off. Apparently for 1994, that makes you my winnah$#@! :(

I enjoy Boyz II Men and respect their musical talent, but IMO their music is playing in the background, not something I seek out to listen to.

Not as bad as the last top 10. Went with The Sign, although I guess I could have voted for any of the Ace of Base songs. Boys II Men is okay, too, and I've always been a sucker for Bryan Adams ballads... but had Coolio's Fantastic Voyage been in the top 10, it would have easily won for me.

Hero by Mariah Carey. It's not in my collection but it's OK.

I've already registered my thoughts on how much I dislike '90s music, I thought Grunge would maybe present some OK options but it's not been on any list thus far and is fading out soon if not already gone by now.

I didn't listen to the radio from like 94 through now... Now I see why.

I have sirius in the car. I listen to Hair Nation, Ozzy's Boneyard, 80's and sometimes 90's

Have no fear, Hootie & The Blowfish are coming next year to save music. :music_guitarred:

I know people like to rail on '80's music but holy ###### were the 90's bad!

The 90's pop scene was really bad. I was a big fan of the PJ, Metallica, STP, AIC, Soundgardens, etc during that time.

This is worse than the last year. There is some decent songs this year but not high on the charts

It got better towards the mid/ late 90's when 2Pac and Big were on it. But damn the 90's really were the suck

Went with Loeb since she was cute...before being quirky cute was fashionable like people try faking it these days.

Though..both Dion and Carey sang the crap out of those songs.
