Weakest one for me yet. Really didn't love any of these.

I really liked Jewel's debut album, but wasn't crazy about Foolish Games. I liked I'll Be Missing You, simply because it was a reworded version of the Police's Every Breath You Take. I liked Wannabe, simply because I've always been a sucker for the cutesy, hook-heavy tunes. They were easy on the eyes, too. Rimes sang the hell out of How Do I Live. That was decent. Return of the Mack and I Believe I Can Fly were both listenable.

Begrudgingly, I'll give my vote to Braxton. Unchain My Heart was a good song and she was always sexy to me.

Thank God this is almost over...

You do realize that you have the option of not opening them, right, Retard?

Right to name calling I see...

And of course you thought it was a shot at you and your ego... Maybe I was mentioning it because of how terrible the songs have been year in and year out...

lol. Yeah, maybe. Because you've been a real contributor to these music threads.

lo. Yeah, maybe. Because you've been a real contributor to these music threads.

Mainly because the songs that have been listed are tunes that I do not like...

Didnt like much on this list, but it was better than a few others this decade..

I went with the jewel song. But could have voted for I'll Be Missing you, if only for the live version (MTV awards show maybe?) that featured Sting, which was pretty cool.

Hmmm... This is a better list for me. I would listen to all all of them. Unlike Newbie, "sampling" didn't really bother me, and it's still commonplace today. But if I have to pick just one... It's got to be Jewel. The rest were really good though, too. Return of the Mack is another one that is on my iPod, along with Diddy and the Spice Girls.

I voted En Vogue, only because a couple of guys in my main fantasy league made this parody song and played it on our podcast. :overhead:

The Elton John - Di - version of Candle in the wind and if you have any appreciation for music it isn't remotely close. Jewel and R. Kelly were decent -- this was a better year than the last 2 - but thats saying very little.

Sorry but I couldn't vote for Candle in the Wind. It was his 3rd go with that song, the second being from his Live in Australia album a decade earlier (that album is possibly my favorite of all time from any artist BTW). Yeah yeah, Lady Di died and all, I get the significance.

Went with Jewel. I love the music and imagery of that song. She was a very talented artist.

Jewel I also thought was pretty damn cute as well. had a good voice but seemed fall off a bit after her 2nd album.

The diddler won almost by default. Worst selections yet, but I think R Kelly's was the most tolerable of those. I did wanna crush Jewel back in the day though.

Yeah, the second ten blows away the top ten. I'd listen to a CD with these ten songs.

Interesting, because for me, from 1-100 this might just be the worst year yet. Usually I find a few jewels (hehehe) in the 11-100, but this time I got nothing. Building a Mystery is OK. Sunny Came Home as well. But not a single "oh yeah, great song$#@!" for me. :dunno:

No that's a good one I missed in the list. Never knew the artist and the "The" in the title three me off.

I'm voting Candle in the Wind with great enthusiasm. I really truly 100% think the best song of this pathetic decade of losuy music should be a re-released version of a cool 80s song.
