The Moz 69 Posted December 17, 2013 You fockers haven't got a clue - like them or not -- Nirvana was one of the original Grunge bands and the first one to really bring it to the masses. Kiss was the first Make up Rock Band (at least mainstream) . Kiss you can argue about their music sucking as it hasn't held up well at all but Nirvana still holds up really well and is pretty good. People might hate them as they think Grunge killed Rock n Roll -- after Nirvana , Soundgarden , and Pearl Jam but all 3 ushered in a big era in Rock

kutulu 1,552 Posted December 18, 2013 Pure crap That's an entirely different question. Who is more"rock and roll" on that list then kiss and why?
NewbieJr 540 Posted December 18, 2013 That's an entirely different question. Who is more"rock and roll" on that list then kiss and why? If that's your criteria, then I suppose Kiss wins. By the way, Winger, Nelson, Georgia Satellites, Cinderella, Vixen, Cracker, Eve 6, The Gin Blossoms, Tonic, and Third Eye Blind would also win the 'most rock and roll' award if they replaced Kiss on the list. So I'm not sure what having electric guitars mean as far as being HOF worthy.

So I'm not sure what having electric guitars mean as far as being HOF worthy. Don't be so thick. His point is, Hall and Oats deserves to be in the Rap HOF as much as the Rock and Roll HOF. KISS, on the other hand, IS the only true Rock and Roll nominee on the list. The name of the HOF should be Music HOF, not R&R if you don't to be a Rocker to get in. Got it Mr. DJ? Hall & Oates in the rap Hall of Fame? Which of their hits were rap songs? Have you ever turned a radio on? So there should be a separate Rock Hall of Fame, R&B HOF, Rap HOF, Country HOF, Reggae HOF, Grunge HOF, Pop HOF, Folk Music HOF, Surf HOF, Bluegrass HOF, New Wave HOF, Disco HOF, etc. Got it. Herbivore 911 Posted December 18, 2013 That I might go along with. Their 70's stuff was awesome. No it wasn't. They're talented, but their songs stink. You make a my dreams come true...oooh oooh...Ugh!!! Daryl Hall was pretty funny when he was on Howard Stern. His whole family has Lyme disease. He really hates deer, loves to focking shoot them. hoytdwow 202 Posted December 18, 2013 Kiss has been around for 40 years and sold 100 million albums Nirvana was around for 6 years and has sold 75 million albums now, I know record sales do not equate to talent or greatness, but their influence in the early 90s is undeniable. They weren't a great band, were'nt even the best Seattle band, but they presided over a huge cultural and aesthetic shift, and they did it through rock music. That's their great achievement. It's like Ozzie Smith getting in the HOF just because of his defense
