I think that phurfur not being here really hurts Google Pilot.

 

When phurfur is here, with his combination of bitter old man and pathetic no life loser, it makes RP look less sad. He blends in more. But without the old looney bird here, Google Pilot's life is really looking more and more pitiful. He desperately needs another loser on board to take the magnifying glass off of himself. I don't think it's obvious at all yet. I can see a scenario where this could have happened accidentally. There are ongoing investigations, it makes sense to see the actual fire and not just the smoke before screaming it aloud in a crowded theater. But then again, I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt.

The Sonasoft revelation was the last straw. It made all the folks who have bought into the IRS line of BS go ballistic.

 

Easiest way to derail the thread is to ignore the facts presented and go after me. I will bow out of their game and let this get back on track, because I'm sure there will be more facts coming out that will further erode what miniscule credibility the IRS story has.

Issa gave the IRS Chair some homework with a letter he sent him Saturday. Issa wants answers when the guy testifies tonight. It should be interesting to see what this clown comes up with.

 

All questions from the letter are in the link:

 

Issa asked the agency chief in a letter on Saturday to answer more than 50 technological questions related to the missing records before testifying about the matter at a hearing on Monday evening. The committee has scheduled a follow up hearing on the same topic for Tuesday.

ETA: Looks like a quick review of the questions means Issa wants names of anyone and everyone who was involved in all aspects of the lost emails. Anyone who did anything once the crash happened. Sorry, I didn't intentionally ignore them. Well, in one case I came in to point out that more than just Lerner had an unfortunate crash during the critical time period, but others had already posted it. Also I spend most of my time here on my phone so I don't scroll back through 4 pages of slap fighting to look for such a post.

If I recall, when I was available to respond to the first item, I was going to post about the 6 additional HD failures, but I saw that several other people had already done so. I thought about doing so anyway but figured I'd be beating a dead horse; perhaps I should have done so anyway.

 

On the second one, I didn't know what to say that would have been constructive. You understand that they are working on a hard drive; guess we'll see what comes of that. And you think it is likely that those drives just crashed. I take it that the IRS had an ongoing epidemic for all time with HDs crashing with no backup plan? Seems implausible like everything else in this story. I didn't see that value in pushing it more; you seem convinced that the mounting coincidences are irrelevant.
