Googballz

IRS "loses" 2 years of Lois Lerner emails. How convenient.

I didn't bring up Sonasoft, that would have been Goog's herring. I'll assume you got everything else wrong too. ;)

Yep, there's only one thing Jerry does well...

Dayum is Googballz kicking some ass in this thread. It's almost embarrassing to watch.

ShoNuff asking for proof... gee I dunno, that would be in the emails that unfortunately went poof. It's kinda the thread topic.

OldMaid saying there were just too many Tea Party groups... yeah and they all got delayed through the election. Which is kinda how this whole investigation got started.

Honcho has done a yeoman's job with his Sonasoft red herring, so I guess he has that going for him.

It's pretty embarrassing. This is basically the only place you will find people actually running to the defense of the IRS or this administration on this subject..

At least our hacks are consistent.

Googz has gotten his ass beat down.

The point about proof was drobs acting as if it were a proven fact of white house involvement when there has been absolutely nothing linking the WH to this.

Honcho just answered questions from your boy who ran and hid from everything as usual (at least from those posts of his that were quoted)

Hacks here are consistent...the righty ones constantly claim people are doing or saying something that they aren't.

There is a world of difference between defending something and responding to dubious facts and out and out lies with corrections.

I agree that the hacks are consistent...facts are presented, that challenge the right-wing tripe they've been fed, and they respond by putting fingers in ears and going "NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA, I CAN'T HEAR YOU!!!!".

Jerry's been defending Recliner Pilot and phurfur to the hilt in recent days. If you need to know what his mindset is. ROFL. He's blind to rightie hacks and trolling. Because he's a fox news parrot himself.

Well, I admit that I typed it knowing I would get such reactions. In all seriousness, I thought Googs handled himself pretty well going solo against all of those folks.

OldMaid was stuck on the 15X difference in number of applications, which hurts her case since every single one was delayed. She topped it off by asking if they had since been approved -- holy "shut the barn door after the horses got out" batman, the whole point was that they were delayed up to the election.

And ShoNuff... still responding that we have no PROOF that the WH was involved. I don't even know where to start; maybe 16 pages ago in this thread which is about whether or not emails were intentionally destroyed?

Honcho did a good job backing him into a corner with the Sonasoft stuff. I actually appreciate the info he brought on the HD crashes, although something about it seems like "lying with statistics." He seems like a good chess player, a worthy adversary if you will. Don't tell him I said that though.

Back to the topic of trolling... to me what I did isn't "trolling," it is having a little good-natured bored fun. Nothing rankles feathers like claiming a little bored victory. :D

To me, trolling is Newbie posting 20 times about Googs posting 150 times. Completely devoid of any content, and somewhat ironic at the same time.

I just don't understand that... He complains when Googballz, Phurfur, drobeski, Recliner Pilot and others post negative things about Obama (or any Democrat) and yet if he would just stop trolling and let the thread go, things would be better...

He talks about how they bring down the board with their constant posts about politics, but IMO he brings down the board as well with his trolling at just trying to piss them off...

I don't know, just thinking that things would be better if the trolling in the political threads stopped, things could improve overall...

Yeah I know I troll on things as well, but Newbie (and some others) are taking to a higher level...

Just my one cent, since my opinions only matter to me...

I view it more as 'can what happened be explained because it falls within a reasonable range of probability?' Without being there, viewing tapes to see if someone took a hard drive out of there computer and bashed it with a hammer, or some other smoking gun, that's all one can do in these situations.

Looks like Lerner didn't get rid of all her emails exposing her as a political hack.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Congressional investigators say they uncovered emails Wednesday showing that a former Internal Revenue Service official at the heart of the tea party investigation sought an audit involving a Republican senator in 2012.

The emails show former IRS official Lois Lerner mistakenly received an invitation to an event that was meant to go to Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa.

The event organizer apparently offered to pay for Grassley's wife to attend the event. In an email to another IRS official, Lerner suggests referring the matter for an audit, saying it might be inappropriate for the group to pay for his wife.

"Perhaps we should refer to exam?" Lerner wrote.

It was unclear from the emails whether Lerner was suggesting that Grassley or the group be audited — or both.

The other IRS official, Matthew Giuliano, waved her off, saying an audit would be premature because Grassley hadn't even accepted the invitation.

"It would be Grassley who would need to report the income," Giuliano said.

The name of the event organizer was blacked out on copies of the emails released by the House Ways and Means Committee because they were considered confidential taxpayer information. Grassley and his wife signed waivers allowing their names to be released.

In a statement, Grassley's office said the senator did not attend the event, and did not receive any invitation intended for Lerner.

"This kind of thing fuels the deep concerns many people have about political targeting by the IRS and by officials at the highest levels," Grassley said. "It's very troubling that a simple clerical mix-up could get a taxpayer immediately referred for an IRS exam without any due diligence from agency officials."

How does this expose her as a hack. She accidentally received an email and asked a colleague if the invitation warranted an exam? Should, upon seeing what might be a questionable legal offer to pay for the wife to go to event also, she should ignore it?

It's not her area in the IRS. And for it to be illegal they would have had to pay for her, issue Grassley a 1099, and then him not report it as income. Hack jumped the gun a little, don't ya think?

Also, saying she wouldn't be seen on the same stage as Grassley, and donating to Dems adds to her hack iness.

Somebody is a whiny biotch... I initially gave my reasons of why I thought those folks were wrong, expanded upon them in the post you quoted (while giving Honcho some kudos, albeit a backhanded compliment the first time), and you respond with  ? Any actual defense of what I said about the OldMaid or ShoNuff exchanges? Or just more  ?

Holy fock Jerry, you can't see why it's important to know when and if these conservative groups were approved? If the IRS was legitimately trying to determine if campaign fraud was being committed by these groups, then they probably didn't magically get approved, right after the campaign.

And as for your "but all the conservative groups were held up" line... I've addressed that. Of course RP chose not to respond to any of it. But since you missed it:

And regarding some of the stuff you posted earlier... If you read the entire link, you would have seen, that the flags for the progressive groups didn't contain any notes on how to proceed, while the conservative flags, did. Now you can speculate that is unfair... or it could be because of the sheer number of conservative groups vs progressive. Hell, we could even speculate that it was an oversight on the person who set the system up. But it would still just be speculation. That's straight from one of my responses.

And yes, the totals of 292 vs 20 is telling. If one group has that much of a higher rate, it makes sense they would get scrutinized more.

Whatever... I know you're just trying to rile everyone up. Not sure why you enjoy doing so, but I guess if it floats your boat, have at it.

292 vs 20 is not a "rate". Those are total number of applicants.

6 out of 20 vs 292 out of 292 is the rate.

33% vs 100%.

Math isn't your strong suit, is it.

I figured I should post in this thread.

I didn't read it, but it is probably liberal posters trolling the conservative posters while at the same time saying that they are not trolling.

The conservatives are probably also trolling, but I they do not deny their trolling near as much.

What a waste.

Really?

I wasn't talking about the number being scrutinized, but the number of applications. One side was applying at a much higher rate. But thanks for trying to deflect some more.

If you had a stack of 20 applications on one side and a stack of 292 applications on the other, which one do you think it would be more important to set a protocol for?

I'm still not saying that there isn't something wrong here... but I can also see some other explanations that might fit what happened besides a conspiracy. Never underestimate the power of Government ineptitude...
