As to RP's question about the number of groups targeted:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2013_IRS_controversy

So, it does indeed look like a lot more conservative groups were applying for this status.

6 out of 20 vs 292 out of 292.

And you still want to argue this wasn't a political witch hunt?

Once again, how many with "progressive" in their name had their application delayed past the election?

How many?

Sorry I confused you by asking "how many". I can't make it any simpler for you, so if it's too difficult don't hurt your brain trying to figure it out.

Looks like Lerner didn't get rid of all her emails exposing her as a political hack.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Congressional investigators say they uncovered emails Wednesday showing that a former Internal Revenue Service official at the heart of the tea party investigation sought an audit involving a Republican senator in 2012.

The emails show former IRS official Lois Lerner mistakenly received an invitation to an event that was meant to go to Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa.

The event organizer apparently offered to pay for Grassley's wife to attend the event. In an email to another IRS official, Lerner suggests referring the matter for an audit, saying it might be inappropriate for the group to pay for his wife.

"Perhaps we should refer to exam?" Lerner wrote.

It was unclear from the emails whether Lerner was suggesting that Grassley or the group be audited — or both.

The other IRS official, Matthew Giuliano, waved her off, saying an audit would be premature because Grassley hadn't even accepted the invitation.

"It would be Grassley who would need to report the income," Giuliano said.

The name of the event organizer was blacked out on copies of the emails released by the House Ways and Means Committee because they were considered confidential taxpayer information. Grassley and his wife signed waivers allowing their names to be released.

In a statement, Grassley's office said the senator did not attend the event, and did not receive any invitation intended for Lerner.

"This kind of thing fuels the deep concerns many people have about political targeting by the IRS and by officials at the highest levels," Grassley said. "It's very troubling that a simple clerical mix-up could get a taxpayer immediately referred for an IRS exam without any due diligence from agency officials."

Looks like I caused you to hurt your brain beyond repair.

Sorry.

I'm asking you if you know the answer. I'm guessing by this deflection that the answer is no.

Please feel free to post it, if on the off chance you do.

I have known the answer for a long time. I figured you knew since you are the one pushing the "but they went after progressive groups too" claptrap.

IRS agents testified before Oversight that ACORN groups were scrutinized because the agency thought they were old organizations applying as new ones. Emerge America was scrutinized for potential “improper private benefit.” No evidence exists that the IRS requested additional information from any Occupy Wall Street group.

“Only seven applications in the IRS backlog contained the word ‘progressive,’ all of which were then approved by the IRS, while Tea Party groups received unprecedented review and experienced years-long delays. While some liberal-oriented groups were singled out for scrutiny, evidence shows it was due to non-political reasons,” according to the Oversight staff report, which was obtained by The Daily Caller.

Sorry to keep beating up on a girl. Especially since it appears you are a special needs girl.

I still find it funny that 292 conservative groups applied for this tax exempt status vs 20 progressive groups.

Poor Honcho doesn't know what irony means.

See, I made no claim about knowing the number........unlike you claiming to know what it takes to back up emails.

Also, it has to hurt that I didn't run away like a pussie and answered her question......unlike you.

So... you don't have the number you were asking me for. Just a bunch of huffing and puffing.

Again... HOW MANY?

It would also be interesting to know what the status of those 292 groups are now? Were they ever approved and if so when?

Do you know?

Why?

You don't think a grass roots effort trying to get off the ground would form more new groups than a party that's been around for decades?

I find it funny you don't see anything wrong with 100% of them getting harassed by the IRS.

OM, let me give you a word of advice.

If you are going to venture out on a fishing trip you need to be smart enough to disguise it a little. And try not to tee up your own beat down by being completely ignorant of the subject being discussed.

Hope this helps in the future.

Obsession? LOLOL All I know is that every time I see this thread back near the top, your name is listed as last poster. So I just have to check to see how big of a loser you really are.

The definition of obsession is to make 152 posts in one thread and to not accomplish a single thing with even one of them. I've seen Honcho beat you up, I've beaten you up. Shonuff has beaten you up, and now Old Maid is kicking you in the teeth. You so desperately need a woman that I'm thinking of hiring one for you. LOL 152 posts in one thread!!

That's strange.

On my computer anytime anyone posts in a thread it kicks it to the top. You may want to get yours checked.

Or maybe you just come to this thread whenever I post. But you aren't obsessed. :first:

I find it funny you don't see anything wrong with 100% of them getting harassed by the IRS.

First off... where did I say I didn't find it funny?

Secondly, my questions were regarding the conservative groups, not the progressive ones. What is the status now? Were they approved or are they still waiting? And if approved, when? Yes... I think that is important information.

And regarding some of the stuff you posted earlier... If you read the entire link, you would have seen, that the flags for the progressive groups didn't contain any notes on how to proceed, while the conservative flags, did. Now you can speculate that is unfair... or it could be because of the sheer number of conservative groups vs progressive. Hell, we could even speculate that it was an oversight on the person who set the system up. But it would still just be speculation.

Maybe you should STFU about how much more you think you know than me... Because it doesn't seem to be the case at all. I'm making a lasagna and still managing to beat your ass black and blue.

OUCH!!!!

If I'm uncomfortable it's only because I've been laughing at you so hard, I've got side stitches.

The best part is the answer's already been given, if you have the math skills of a 4th grader. Apparently it was too much for you. :(

I didn't say I posted how much storage would be required, I posted all the variables to figure it out, a math problem a 4th grader could do...go find a 4th grader to explain it to you.

And if I won't do simple math for you, you can be damn sure I'm not going to find a link in a thread you should have read, but ignored.

No...we're back to feeling sorry for you. The very fact that you could't work out that problem, that it's 3 days later and you still don't know the answer....it's making me reconsider Drobeski as the dumbest focker on the board. I guess I can understand you not figuring it out though, it would require more than 10 fingers and toes.

BTW, Sonasoft came up in the hearings...they were only archiving IRS chief counsel emails, about 3,000 employees, not the other 90,000. The contract was terminated after chief counsel switched to Outlook 2010. Tough luck, though, Sonasoft really looked like they were the key to the whole conspiracy.

Dayum is Googballz kicking some ass in this thread. It's almost embarrassing to watch.

ShoNuff asking for proof... gee I dunno, that would be in the emails that unfortunately went poof. It's kinda the thread topic.

OldMaid saying there were just too many Tea Party groups... yeah and they all got delayed through the election. Which is kinda how this whole investigation got started.

Honcho has done a yeoman's job with his Sonasoft red herring, so I guess he has that going for him.
