nearbyatom 1 Posted November 3, 2014 The guy was putting up stinkers early part of the season. I bench him and all of a sudden he comes alive? Something change in that offense? Or is he doing this to spite me?
Jarvis Basnight 119 Posted November 3, 2014 He's got an explosive group of weapons. They've thrown 62% of the time during the last 2 games.
Showboat 290 Posted November 3, 2014 He's doing it to spite you - better find out who tipped him off that you were benching him.
Skinny_Bastard 159 Posted November 3, 2014 The offense is coming together. They had an identity crisis early in the season trying to run the ball too much. They know who they are now.
RaiderHaters Revenge 4,543 Posted November 3, 2014 chased the points from last week and was rewarded heavily, benched Wilson this week for first time this season for him.
Cuse9 131 Posted November 3, 2014 Antonio Brown is on another level right now. Everytime you watch him he's more impressive. I really think that so much respect has to be given to him that it allows the other guys a lot more freedom. On the TD pass to Spaeth they had three guys on Brown. Big Ben though....crazy. murf74 461 Posted November 3, 2014 Wheaton is now getting comfortable on the field, remember he basically was a rookie to start this season. They now play Bryant instead of Justin Brown who was only a blocking back. Bryant has only been active the last 3 games which he has 5 TDs! Those are 2 big changes in the offense. The other change is philosophy. They are no longer playing conservative (you notice last 2 weeks they go for it on 4th and short not by running but throwing for TDs). That means less run, run pass punt situations. His offense to start the year really only had ONE WR left over from last season. It took some time to gel for everyone. Cuse9 131 Posted November 3, 2014 I wonder what is realistic expectations from this group going forward. Brown has been pretty consistent all year. We can't expect a TD a game from Wheaton/Bryant and for Ben to throw 4+ TD's every week. I still think Bell can be a dynamite back if given the opportunities. Very interesting fantasy offense going forward!

Very interesting fantasy offense going forward! Bad weather games will come, so everyone needs to keep that in mind. Ben has thrown 11 more TDs than my starting QB the last 2 weeks (Wilson) vs much better opponents. 11!

RaiderHaters Revenge 4,543 Posted November 3, 2014 also fwiw going into next year my prerankings right now in PPR 1) Antonio Brown 2) Demaryius 3) some RB I drafted Demaryius no 2 overall in my big money league, and if I draw top 3 I am hands down taking Brown without question dude doesnt have down games. I think I saw something like in the last 2 yrs, he has 0 games under 10, his low is 10.9 Antonio is already the 2nd best 6th round draft pick of all-time

Very interesting fantasy offense going forward! Bell is still on pace for 84 catches and over 2000 yards from scrimmage. He just hasn't scored many TD's. But he doesn't need a ton of carries to be effective because he is so good in the passing game. Last night was the first game all year he didn't post 100 yards from scrimmage. All week he was saying to bench Ben that triple chin sportin' little doosh can go fock himself ... good lord, the "advice" dispensed up on that shlockfest is about as sh!teous as it gets .... definitely geared towards the casual noob navigating their first year in an 8 team work league watching/hearing Leatherface flub names and lines (off her cue cards/teleprompter) is excruciating ... chick needs some serious baggage over her face AND CAN THE ASIAN DUDE PLEASE STOP WITH THAT FOCKIN' SH!T EAING GRIN ?!!?11?1!! - thanks
jgcrawfish 232 Posted November 4, 2014 It's a combination of things, but I think the main thing is Ben has bought into Haley's system. There are a lot more quick timing routes and a lot less of Ben dancing around and trying to chunk it 50 yrds downfield with a 300 lb DE hanging from him. Other than the blip of back-to-back-to-back sacks against the Ravens he's barely been touched in 3 weeks, so the offensive line is clearly playing better AND responding to the fact they don't have keep their QB clean for 5+ seconds. Trying not to sound like a homer, but they also potentailly have better weapons than just about anybody in football right now. They can go 4 wide with Brown (playing WR better than just about anybody in the league right now), Wheaton, Bryant and throw in either Lance Moore or Darrius Heyward-Bey...plus Heath Miller AND Le'veon Bell who catches like a WR anyway. Brown/Wheaton/Bell are nightmares in open space and Miller/Bryant are big targets with catch radius. I mean hell, what other team has former starters like Moore and DHB running as their WR4 & 5 ? That's depth.
Borat33 17 Posted November 4, 2014 He's going to throw 6 more vs this god awful jets secondary this week ha.

TennisMenace 156 Posted November 4, 2014 I read other "expert" words but I follow my gut which usually is pretty reliable but not always. For instance, every week Espn loves me to win predicting I will out score my opponent, sometimes easily. Guess what? I'm 3-6. Well, at least the experts on ESPN love my team. n_omarley 11 Posted November 5, 2014 I traded Brees + whatever for Rodgers while Rodgers was on bye (I'm a Packer homer) I picked up Ben to fill that week. Now I'm considering benching my newly aquired stud??? whadya think?
Phil Simms 11 134 Posted November 5, 2014 Thought he would be my BYE week QB for Cutler. Now starting him ahead of Cutler. I expect Ben to get back to his mediocre QB2 ways at some point but you need to go with the hot hand. I predict 300 & 3 this week in a blowout.

Phil Simms 11 134 Posted November 5, 2014 https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2014/10/30/trade-wins-2nd-half-qbs/ Ben took off second half of last season also.
SaintsInDome2006 650 Posted November 13, 2014 https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2014/10/30/trade-wins-2nd-half-qbs/ Ben took off second half of last season also. That's really interesting... I started to drop Ben for a WW pickup but have now held back. What's the way to view what happened at the Jets? Ben had put up 12 flippin' TDs on the two prior teams who were both very good teams, Ind and Bal, was that the real Ben or the one who stank at the Jets? OldMaid 2,135 Posted November 13, 2014 Dear Ben, I think you should know, the other QB's have be snickering and laughing about your 6 TD games. Manning said, "If the hillbilly hick can do it, I can do it, too." Rodgers laughed and said, "Anything you can do, I can do better. I can do it... IN THE FIRST HALF!" How about you make them eat a little crow and throw 7 this week? Signed, Big Ben Owner
