Not news. They can't control who wins. They want to be treated normally anyway. Fake outrage will run for a few days.

I don't think anyone is outraged. They think it's funny.

I understood most of those words but not the way you grouped them. Was the ice bucket challenge a good thing or bad thing?

I know. And ALS donations were up like 500% because of it. I'm still not getting your angle. Are you saying it was a bad trend?

He's just a grumpy conservative that has no clue. Doesn't matter if it's good for people or to help a disease.

What it's a trend? I HATE IT! as I have been programmed to do!

I have to stop thinking there's a limit to your stupidity because apparently it knows no bounds.

He wasn't really clear though. Never really voiced an opinion. I assume you're right. He probably wanted to take the stand that it was a bad thing. But realized that it would make him look like a total ass hole and backed off.

I admit, when Ice Bucket Challenge's started popping up on my facebook, I said "what the fock, what kind of self important, look at me bullchit is this, I will never partake in such nonsense, I know people aren't really donating"

A week later when I realized it was working and people were donating, I thought it was awesome. When I was nominated, I had to be different about it, but I happily did it and donated my $20 (for me and my son in the video)

After the Ice Bucket Challenge went viral on social media, public awareness and charitable donations to ALS charities soared. Hits to the English Wikipedia's article on amyotrophic lateral sclerosis grew from an average of 163,300 views per month to 2.89 million views in August 2014, and similar increases occurred in the Spanish and German Wikipedias. Within weeks of the challenge going viral, The New York Times reported that the ALS Association had received $41.8 million in donations from July 29 until August 21. More than 739,000 new donors have given money to the association, which is more than double the $19.4 million the association received during the year that ended January 31, 2013. On August 29, the ALS Association announced that their total donations since July 29 had exceeded $100 million. The ALS Association is just one of several ALS-related charities that have benefited from the challenge:

ONE HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS! Yeah, what a goofy trend. I also didn't realize it was a liberal thing until Drobs pointed it out.

Wasn't there a poster here that complained because of the wasted water? LOLOL

When I went to get my 2 bags of ice for the challenge, I was shocked to see the ice cooler nearly empty.

I asked the lady at the counter if she had a ton of ice bucket people. She beamed with pride, that everyone getting ice was talking about it.

I guess we should have not been so selfish and purchased spring water too.

People need something to belly ache about. Miserable ass holes who can't find joy in anything. They are living the lives they deserve.

Ice bucket was stupid. Why not just donate. Call people out if you want. But i guess i can't fault them for capitalizing on the vanity of social media and the selfie world we live in.
