Tom Brady will NOT accept a deal - No games or bust

#DeflateGate latest: NFLPA sources tells us if Tom Brady’s appeal results in suspension for ANY games, they’ll challenge in federal court

This makes me so happy. I want to see it get ugly. I want this to go all the way up to the Supreme Court, personal emails and documents let out to the public. Goodell coming out looking like an ass, Brady being embarrassed, all of it. I want it to get ugly and muddy and nasty.

This is like when Kim Kardashian and Kanye eventually get divorced. I don't like either, so I hope they sue each other, the cops are called, embarrassing pics and emails leaked, all sorts of drama.

The Union will be doing the fighting:

The NFL Players Association is expected to contest the results of Tom Brady's appeal in federal court if any of the New England Patriots quarterback's four-game suspension remains, union sources told ABC News' Ryan Smith.

If Brady's suspension is lifted when commissioner Roger Goodell announces his ruling and he is fined instead, the quarterback will decide whether to challenge the decision in court.

If the NFLPA does challenge the appeal verdict in court, it will argue:

• The ball-deflation policy was incorrectly applied to Brady, as the rules were meant for club personnel and not players.

• Against the "general awareness" standard used by Ted Wells' investigators to determine Brady's involvement.

• If it is determined the ball-deflation policy did apply to Brady, the league failed to give him notice of the penalty, in essence making up the punishment with precedent.

• The NFL doesn't have proper techniques and standards for measuring deflation of footballs.

• Goodell should have recused himself as the arbitrator for Brady's appeal hearing.

The commissioner said last week that he expected to have a ruling soon, possibly sometime this week.

In addition to Brady's four-game suspension, the Patriots were fined $1 million and stripped of a 2016 first-round draft choice and 2017 fourth-round selection as a result of the Wells report. Patriots owner Robert Kraft said at the owners meetings in May that he "reluctantly" accepted the team's portion of the penalty.

Makes me sad how Kraft kowtowed to Goddell :(

Beyond pathetic how much he let the fans down.

Truly proving that he is just an empty suit that doesn't understand or get the fans at all.

I think these are slam dunks for Brady, but the overall moral core of the issue is still against him.

To me, it's still the team penalties that are outrageous.

LOL Can't wait. Pussie boy Brady is bluffing. No way he goes to court and allows access to his phone records

Let's get it on. Brady may learn the NFL went easy on him with all the evidence they probably didn't disclose. Either way, someone loses and I'm good with that.

courts can seal evidence. The NFL has more leaks than a colinder... be crazy to give them your phone

But if he knows they have evidence then why would he threaten to go to court? That's like a someone who just did drugs submitting to a drug test to prove they didn't do them.

He may be just fighting the punishment, not the crime. People got less for doing worse. That's probably why the union is handling this.

Yeah, he should've continued to deny and deflect. He'd garner so much more respect.

Especially when you've sent numerous texts and spent over an hour on the phone in three days with your ball boy.

It sounds like the angle the players assoc. is taking is that Brady telling the ball boys to deflate balls should be a team penalty, not a player one.

Ball boy making basically minimum wage thrust into a national story involving Brady. You think its inconceivable or damning that they would talk?

It would have taken two minutes fro Brady to say,, "hey man, it must have been weather conditions. Neither of us did anything wrong or knew anything about it". But getting a story straight takes a bit more time, wouldn't you say?

Brady did say he didn't "think" he cheated. Not, "I did not cheat". Big difference.

Wife: Did you cheat on me?

Husband: I don't think so.

Yeah, that's the same.

What a baby. Hes strongarming the league into ditching the suspension. Threatening a huge annoying lawsuit. The rest of the league will freak if Brady gets no games.

Doesn't pretty much every player do this? It's one of their few leverage points so, yes, they are obviously going to use it. Would be dumb not to

Cuz it shows you can cheat and get no punishment as long as your the golden boy. Wether he actually cheated or not is irrelevant, the court of public opinions judgment is final. Also he did cheat, but im not even holding that against him.

All players appeal. Not all players say that if they don't like the appeal decision, they're going to court. Brady furthers his reputation as the biggest pussie in the league.

No it isn't.. the public is a bunch of mouth breathing imbreds who don't know zhit and react to bs headlines without delving into it themselves. Hell most the talking heads didn't bother to read the report or rebuttal reports to figure it out...

Cheatriots, Tom shady, Belicheat...No other dynasty has so many funny nicknames associated with cheating. Even the most hated ones are still respected by the league and fans. Well, except THE most hated one here.

Pretty spot-on here. He obviously was somewhat in the wrong. Appeal the suspension and move on like a man, no matter what decision comes from it.

The freakin' ball boys certainly had nothing to gain by deflating them. Brady is really making himself look pathetic here.

Honestly I haven't looked at the evidence. No texts or anything like a lot of you have. Didn't really read the wells report just some cliff notes of everything. From what I saw they didn't have any clear evidence (such as "aha! Caught you red handed) that could convict him of it. That being said, the nfl doesn't need to have clear cut evidence. I'm a patriots and Brady fan so yea I am a little biased towards him. Not saying he did or didn't do it. But I think: he should just go ahead with his appeal, get his suspension reduced to 2 games (that's reasonable I believe), and move on. Taking it to court is a little extreme and I think he honestly should just man up and take the punishment. Once his suspension is up it's over. No harm no foul. It's not like he's losing a lot over it. Now the punishment for the team I think is a little over the top. I would reduce their fine and instead of having a 2016 1st round & 2017 4th round draft pick lost they should get those back and only be stuck with a fine. However I would compromise on that and take away a 2nd rounder in 2016. I think that would be fair

You didn't read it, but from what you saw. I stopped there. HTH.

Cliff notes is what I read. Not gonna go through the whole report like some people.

If I were accused of something, and I knew with 100% certainty that I was innocent - I'd want as much info to come out in support of that as possible to prove it so.

That doesn't appear to be the case here.

Smoke and mirrors, plausible deniability and deflection are all the rage these days.

No it doesn't. It appears he told somebody they should do it and they did. Then thinks he shouldn't have anything done to him. Essentially it's like telling someone to go kill themselves and being arrested for murder when they actually do. In this situation I think he should just appeal and take what he gets from it
