TRUMP NOW OUT-POLLING JEB 8-1 IN IOWA

Recommended Posts

I've voted Dem four straight presidential elections but was only in-play and undecided for a long time with McCain. Bush and Mitt had no shot at my vote. Some GOP candidates in 2012 would have gotten my vote, as well as some this year. Being more appealing than Hillary is not a very high bar to clear.

And stop saying Mitt Romney is a moderate. It's insulting. We have positions we don't change them easily. It's embarrassing enough that he grew up in Michigan. The man's not moderate, conservative, or liberal. He's a snake oil salesman. Romney is a weathervane with whatever positions his polling and marketing team deem best for the weather. He has no convictions at all.

Gary is right. Cruz has been a pain in the ass for GOP Senate leaders since the day he arrived. He doesn't like or respect them for the exact same reasons Gary doesn't. They don't like him at all either. Cruz does his own thing with his own priorities which may or may not align with GOP leadership.

I'm not sure how that makes him anti-establishment, but ok. His campaigned is being funded by one of the wealthiest families in the world. He's a puppet of the ruling elite of the elite (the heart of the establishment).

I may well have old info, but I didn't realize the Kochs had endorsed any candidate yet this year. Last I heard they were sitting back watching events unfold. At that time -4 months ago perhaps- it seemed like Walker was the one they were most likely to endorse.

Who's that billionaire that funds every progressive fawk head's name? His name escapes me. He funded Obama. He doesn't have a brother. Same guy who made billions off of that car company? Damn my memory. The one that funds lefty think tanks.

What the fawk is his name? The media knows him. I should definetly know him. Starts with an S. Ends with an S. Bugs Bunny patted him on his head and named him after his Peemus and a charcter played by C. Scott. He even swung through the jungle if my memory is correct. Watch out for that tree?

That'd be George Soros, I suppose based only on the S---S clue. I don't know about the Bugs Bunny or the Jungle story.

The other big Dem donor is Tom Steyer but he only has one 'S' not two. Still, he seems more of a jungle kind of guy.

I will say this in gocolts defense. You cannot trust all you so called 'Reagan Democrats' or 'Blue Dog Democrats".

McCain? A moderate. Yall killed him on his age. Meanwhile Hillary, Bernie and Biden have a combined age of like 400 and, well it's all good.

Romney was as focking moderate as they come. He was from Massachusets and implemented healthcare, was moderate on national security. Etc. Yet yall scanned the internet earth to find a sound bite like the 99 percent BS spin to find a reason to hate him. And spun him into some ultra conservative.

The truth is...,,FrankM, IGW, MDC and MB are voting for Hillary or Biden or Bernie. Bottom line.

So spare us the bullshitt. That BS is what gocolts and others like him are tired of.

2 things killed McCain...W (Rove) during his previous run. And Palin.

And I still voted for him.

Romney was moderate but still ran to the religious right chumps socially.

You've got it half right. McCain and Romney were both moderates...until they had to spew insane fire and brimstone to win the trust of their moronic base. And that's ultimately what did them both in.

And I do not like hillary. At all. There are republicans I dislike even more, Ted Cruz being chief amongst them, but it's quite possible that I'd vote for a guy like Kasich or Rubio if he could emerge from the republican primary without going full retard for the base.

This is what the gocolts of the world think is BS and why they want to stop sending moderates out there in a general election. Because Worms, I know you say you "might" but when push comes to shove on election day you know as good as I do that you're going to pull the D lever. You will....I respect your willingness to at least say you are open to not, but you will.

Even if Kascich was the nominee the left wing machine will find something. A blurb in a speech, a W2 from 1982. There will be something and it will be spun to where he is a conservative puppet who hates blacks and women. And everybody will eat it up with a spoon. It's what happens.

Conservatives need to become more moderate to succeed, the country has become more liberal and moderate, their struggles are simply the manifestation of the trend among active voters.

Sadly the trend has more to do with entitlement, and subsequently the election of people willing to hand out money to people.

Socially yes... A real moderate that does not go to the far right wackos socially who will still be fiscally conservative and balance the budget.

Fail.

I would probably vote 3rd party. I can't say what I'd do in the alternate reality you propose where there's no 3rd party.

There's always a 3rd Party and frequently a 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th as well. Worst case scenario, write in Deez Nuts.

Lol at left wing spin machine. Bill Clinton and Gary Hart disagree. And so does the Kenyan Marxist. Right wingers are either blind or stupid when it comes to modern politics. Your choice. They focus on everything but policy, and when you back them in a corner they all become Wharton graduates and yap about deficits.

I voted for McCain and Gary Johnson.

I almost couldn't vote for McCain due to Palin. The idea of putting that nitwit forward as one of our political leaders was ridiculous to me, but I held my nose and did it, just hoping McCain never had any health issues.

I will admit to being up in the air on Romney until his whole "47% of the country are deadbeats" diatribe. That wasn't a "soundbite" and it wasn't taken out of context or anything else; it was the vein of the whole speech. It was simple red-meat for the base, much of which was patently false. I just can't respect anyone who spews that kind of sh!t, even if I don't think he really believes it, and even if he thinks it's only to a captive and receptive audience. I focking hate a demagogues, in the Mencken sense; "one who teaches doctrines he knows to be untrue to others he knows to be idiots."

Voting for Johnson may have been a "wasted vote" but it sure didn't cause me any trouble sleeping at night.

It's funny, we are already the laughing stock of civilized nations as it is. Imagine for just a second how much of a joke US politics would become if a freaking reality TV celebrity and real estate blowhard was president. There would be no words.

just wait until the first time he calls some foreign leader a loser because he doesn't agree with him. Or suggesting a female dignitary is on the rag. One say, history books will talk about the time the GOP decided to elect the dumbest, most immature candidate possible. Simply because he wasn't like traditional politicians and 'told it like it is' lol. Children will think they're reading an article from Theonion.com

Right. I love how KSB knows exactly how we'd vote even though i've voted plenty of times for Republicans in the past. In fact, i bet I'm the only democrat here who has actually voted for Kasich. Twice. Plus I've said here since before campaigning started in earnest that if Kasich is the nominee, I'm voting for him.

i don't vote for someone just because they are labeled a "moderate". Romney was a flip flopper with questionable convictions who pandered to the religious right, and there was no way I was going to contribute to Sarah Palin being a heart attack away from the presidency.

Maybe guys like me actually think about who would be the best choice for president and vote accordingly.

How many Democrats have you voted for, KSB?

I don't vote Republican because their ideas since 1980 or so have sucked. I honestly can't think of one good thing they have implemented since then. I could be wrong, but I'll have to be reminded. That being said, the Democrats ideas are only a little less the suck than the republicans. But I have voted republican onthe state level, many times, but a New York or northeast republican is a lot different than a southern one.

Crime was insane in NYC in the 80s. All the gangs and cr@p, wasn't it? I can tell you all about it because I watched the movie The Warriors. ;) Guiliani that got that straight? It sure wasn't Dinkins or Koch. One of my childhood heroes was Bernard Goetz by the way.

Talking about presidents. Yeah, crime was crazy in the 70's and 80's and early 90's. And who was the president for most of that time? Nixon, Ford, Reagan and Bush. 20 out of 24 years and they did nothing, one of them told the city to drop dead. Bill Clinton was the one who signed stricter crime legislation, funded more prisons and paid for more cops. And like I said as far as Rudy and Bloomberg, Northeast republicans are not like the rest of the country. I voted for Pataki every time. And as a side note B. Goetz's "victims"' were frequent fliers in my precinct.

I know you guys better than you know yourselves. 90% of the people here claims they are "independent". It's such B.S.

Then you've seen my posts over the years saying I've voted for Republicans at all levels of government and especially the last year when I've been talikng about Kasich. In fact, I've called myself a Reagan Democrat for years.

Just because I didnt like Bush, I don't find Obama to be the Antichrist, and I spent a lot of time trolling right wingers here, you think you know how I'm going to vote?

You don't.

ETA I've never said I was independent. Ive always said I'm a center leaning Democrat.

So how exactly am I a hypocrite?

The only scenario where I could see myself voting D in this election is if Biden runs against Trump. But that has about a 0.01% chance of happening so...........

I remember it. And while I support Goetz right to defend himself I think shooting people who are attempting to flee, one at point blank range, and later saying your have kept shooting them all again except you ran out if bullets and wanted to gauge one of their eyes out with your keys etc. is not exactly heroic.

You picked a weird one Volty. That like saying Travis Bickle is your hero.

Trump now beating Hillary, Bernie, and Biden in head to head polls.

It's not just the Republican voters that are absolute morons, it's the American voter.

I love that Americans are showing they are done with the same old crap...I was just hoping it would maybe be Rand Paul to get the unexpected momentum.

I get that part, but we picked the wrong guy. It's like when the #blacklivesmatter movement picked Michael Brown as their cause. Good movement, wrong guy to get behind.

You had a mugging victim during Ed Koch's crime imperium days in New York get fed up and aquire a gun. Then one day, he was minding his own business riding the subway when yet another band of thugs come up armed with sharpened screwdrivers, surround him, and demand money.

So he went around the circle and gave them each what they deserved. He got off the subway and could have easily just vanished but instead turned himself in to the cops.
