I understand the behavior of the Trumps campaign is not acceptable. But, laws need to have been broken, and proven to be broke. Charges need to be filed. Innuendos and "bad behavior" or "extremely negligent" isn't enough. We saw that in the email investigation. That's why I'll wait for the investigation to end.

 

Remember, Putin and others, believe Obama and Hillary intervened in the Ukraine elections. They backed the pro-western candidate. They used influence and propaganda to sway the election. I believe Putin used that as a reason to meddle in ours. So there's the relevance of us doing it, so others will also.

The relevance is that this type of behavior goes on right under most people's noses and has for 100 years minimum. No one here bats an eye when we interfere in a country like Honduras or Iran. But you bring up Russia and the panic sets in.

 

There's a long history of the US and Russia engaging in this type of behavior against one another.

 

Need we be reminded about "formulating a policy of American tutelage"?

 

Because that was pretty relevant and pretty recent. Seeing as how it was good ol' Bill that brought that to the forefront, it also helps explain why the Russians would be adamantly against HRC and Bill re-entering the White House. There's a potential for motive.

 

How much involvement Trump himself had in their actions over the past year and a half is the key to all of this though. Those details are trickling in and have already cost some people roles in the administration. His knowledge however is ultimately the biggest question. As long as he can claim ignorance w/o any concrete evidence against him, it's an uphill climb for the special counsel. Even if all his underlings fail, he still needs to be definitively proven to have been involved in order for anything to come out of this

 

That's the thing...this isn't really about Russia on its own. It's about Trump campaign involvement. And it's painfully obvious there is nefarious crap that went on. All the undisclosed meetings and the constant lying. That is what is being discussed.
