He doesn't understand finance or investing.  All he does is repeat the BS that he reads online about Crypto.  He's brainwashed, but he's been incredibly lucky to have gotten in early on crypto an has had amazing returns, if we can believe what he says.  The problem now is that he's a pig, and he's not taking any gains, he's setting himself up to be slaughtered.  Maybe he'll end up in a millionaire, maybe he'll be broke, nobody knows.

And his investment certainly isn’t stable nor should be compared to any debt instrument.

Obviously.  Its a speculative growth asset, not a safe haven.  Comparing the growth of bitcoin to a short term bond fund is stupid, since the purpose of each asset is different.

When a Satoshi is worth zero, how many of them will it take to buy a lollipop.  You established a lowering price is a good thing remember.

If a Satoshi is worth 0, the lolipop has infinite cost.

If I had more money to invest I would. But all of the money I can afford to invest is already deployed. If I came upon 10k right now that I could do whatever I wanted with, I would buy more bitcoin.

Which bonds?  The tax free ones?

Who uses treasury bonds as a tool to outpace inflation?

Gutterboy would rather hold cash for 10 years and lose multiple points on his purchasing power than buy bitcoin and gain multiples in his purchasing power. How does that make any sense?

It's roughly the same, which is the purpose of the investment.

Because the cash is meant to offset loses, use for reinvesting, or for emergencies.  I'm not putting "safe" money into a speculative asset.  Only retards do that.  I have speculative money in speculative assets.

I believe now it was a great investment if you got in early.  But I also believe it's time to cash out as I expect it to drop a lot more before it rebounds again a couple years later.  I believe in it long term now too.  Just won't buy until it drops 80% or more.

The fact you don't know your safe haven is down told everyone you have no clue what you're talking about.

Bitcoin saving people's wealth in Turkey.

When a country's currency collapses it's easy for the citizens to move their money into bitcoin and save what little wealth they have left from going to zero. Notice they aren't rushing to buy bonds.

Bitcoin is down more than their currency so far this year.  How does losing money save wealth?

It's up 4.7% since the last time you complained about it, 6 days ago.  Meanwhile you're not even trying to keep up with inflation.  Might as well light your money on fire.

You're proving my point, a safe haven doesn't fluctuate 5% per day, or 50% per month.

As far as keeping up with inflation, my investments have beat inflation every single year since 2008.  You have no idea what you're talking about.

For the last time, for the complete brain dead, bitcoin is a great investment as a speculative play.  For a safe haven, it's terrible.
