Frozenbeernuts 1,652 Posted June 4, 2017 Yeah, you and you're kind are less manly. I couldn't imagine the men that made it through the depression and ww2 acting like you and your kind. Wonder Woman? Give me a Fockin break. You can't tell the difference between a teenager and a grown man anymore. And yeah, Fockin shave and don't wear shorts everywhere. We wear shorts too often. That's what's wrong with this country..... please tell me he is the only one dumb enough to believe this.
Djgb13 2,338 Posted June 4, 2017 I'll say this. Unless it's absolutely necessary I ain't wearing long pants if it's hot. I'll wear some nice shorts such as the ones from vineyard vines.

Of course. I said appropriately. Shorts in church? No. Went to an event at my daughters pre-school. Children had to wear a dress or a shirt and tie. Fockin parents showing up in shorts. If your kid is dressing properly, so should you for focks sake. You look like an a-hole
fandandy 3,311 Posted June 4, 2017 That, and boots. We wear shorts too often and don't wear boots often enough. Â No wonder everyone needs a hand out. They ain't got no boot straps to pull themselves up by.

fandandy 3,311 Posted June 4, 2017 I wore shorts and a polo to church today. We live in a resort town and it's always "come as you are". I like that, come as you are. That, to me, is the way it should be. I was raised in Wesleyan church. Suits and ties. Â I remember as a kid in Indiana we had a pastor so old school strict that when my sisters youth group went on a canoeing trip they wern't allowed to wear shorts. So focking stoopid. NewbieJr 540 Posted June 5, 2017 HT might be the most judgemental person on this entire board. Which says a lot.well, he's a 50-somethimg year old loser who tried to retire early but then a woman trapped him into having babies so we had to go back to work. His life consists of posting 100 times a day on a message board and then driving a taxi around at night. When your life is that shitty, you tend to try to judge others so you feel a little better about yourself.

Bier Meister 1,517 Posted June 5, 2017 Do you think people should go to church dressed like slobs? I am split. Part of me believes they should go the best they are able, the other thinks that pagentry is irrelevant. There is another debate about whether or not one even needs to attend to be pious. listen2me 23 1,549 Posted June 5, 2017 I don't go to church. But if I did I would try to dress well. But I wouldn't want it to be full of people judging you on what you are wearing. But inwoukd hope that if a fellow parishinor is on hard times he gets a hand. My Parrish is very good at outreach to struggling families, and they do it on the down low. Cruzer 1,992 Posted June 5, 2017 I don't think one has to go decked out in a suit and tie.. Slacks and/or Dockers and a nice clean shirt are fine.. But for sure shorts and sandals have no place in a church service.
Djgb13 2,338 Posted June 5, 2017 Why would he care how you dress? It's a respect thing. If you're able to dress nice but don't cause you don't feel like it is kind of an insult. Now if you didn't have anything that's understandable

But a lot of people who go to church have a pretty hypocritical way of living their lives out. Â True. I do go to mass most Sundays. Don't really go in a suit except on certain occaisions (people I know having a baptism...I did on Easter too and sometimes Christmas). Usually khakis or dress pants and a decent shirt. But it does not bother me if people show up in jeans or shorts.
