Records in sports that won't be broke.

He's Rickey Henderson b1tch, he steals what he wants

Maybe. But only once from me. I banned him from the store.

Taking an ice skate off and trying to stab someone. That record belongs solely to Happy Gilmore

Taking a mans shoe off and beating him with it in the stands. Peter McNab

In his defense, he probably didn't realize he was supposed to pay for them.

He absolutely knew they weren't his to take.

Nike Athletes have a set limit on the amount of mchdse they can get from a Niketwown on a single visit.

This was toward the end of his career and his limit was $500.00. He had almost twice that when he came upstairs to sign for it. Anyway, it all has to be rung up and accounted for and he has to sign for it.

When my assistant told him she couldn't approve it, he freaked and she called me.

I let him take all the stuff he'd picked out for himself (still way over the limit) and told him we would place an order for all the women's mchdse and have it shipped to him from corporate.

That wasn't good enough for him.

He took what I gave him, stormed out the front door, then came back in and grabbed the soccer sandals that an associate on the first floor had pulled for him earlier.

It was all captured on camera.

Lol while that is pretty awesome it isn't one of the players taking off their skate and trying to stab someone with it. Regardless, that is pretty epic and didn't know about this until you posted it

I didn't see evidence to support either argument but wasn't it Mike Milbury that did the loafer beating ?

Barry Bonds 688 intentional walks...

120 in a single season :o

Only player since 1960 to have more HR 46 than Ks 41 in a single season (2004)

Heck I don't think many players even get walked 120 times a season now and here he was intentionally walked that many times...

Totally amazing...

Doesn't that make it less fun as a fan? Unless you're a fan of GS?

So if he takes them to the finals again next year and Golden State wins, that'll be worse than if he doesn't get there at all? That's retard Edjr logic.

Angle? You're the one implying that losing in the finals is the sign of a bad player.

Talking sports with you is like entering the Special Olympics. I kick ass, but kinda feel bad about it.

You haven't seen my opinion of what Durant did? That answers your question. The rest of the teams are playing for second. Less fun? I suppose. Although rooting for injury can be exciting. I wish Durant's sticks legs would snap like a twig.

I have seen it and am sure your opinion is matched by many many NBA fans.

I didn't like the NBA during the Jordan years, I didn't like Jordan and I was tired of them winning.

Did t read the thread so it was prob one of the first posts, but all of way e gretzkys stats are untouchable. Dude is an animal and so far above anyone else it's staggering. I'm sure the hockey nuts can/have explain further. But that's the first thing I think of when up breakable records are mentioned.

When Gretzsky amassed those stats, the game was entirely different and the goalie equipment was half the size it is now.

Watch an NHL game now. 75% of goals are scored on a deflection or a tip, some form of luck.

When gretzsky played it was sniper city. Shooters could shoot, they didn't need help.

Great info, thanks. I expected more from Jagr but on quick glance it looks like he is tied for 3rd most recent; basically only two players from 1997 on in that list.

NHL should fix that. Hockey was better back in the 80s.

Most, if not all those goals were scored against white goalies.

I disregard every hockey stat until the league is truly integrated.

Climbing takes a lot of athleticism, but many wouldn't call it a sport. If you do, Alex Honnold's recent free solo of El Capitan is arguably the greatest athletic accomplishment ever, and won't be repeated.

You don't think anyone else will try it now that he has proven it can be done, pent? Don't know much about climbing though I did read up on this a little bit. It seems like the hardest part about free soloing El Cap would be lugging your 50 lb balls up it. Is Honnold the best/strongest/most technical climber, or is he just willing to try things that others aren't?
