This was toward the end of his career and his limit was $500.00. He had almost twice that when he came upstairs to sign for it. Anyway, it all has to be rung up and accounted for and he has to sign for it.

Climbing takes a lot of athleticism, but many wouldn't call it a sport. If you do, Alex Honnold's recent free solo of El Capitan is arguably the greatest athletic accomplishment ever, and won't be repeated.

 

You don't think anyone else will try it now that he has proven it can be done, pent? Don't know much about climbing though I did read up on this a little bit. It seems like the hardest part about free soloing El Cap would be lugging your 50 lb balls up it. Is Honnold the best/strongest/most technical climber, or is he just willing to try things that others aren't?
