Also!&@$!

Slinky sucked. Every round I thought "Slinky should be drafted". Then I rember that stupid toy. A. It never went down the stairs right and B. After maybe the third time it would get all tangled up where it wouldnt work. Waste of time and money. Worst toy ever. Gimmick.

Same with that paddle with a string and rubber ball. Dumb and no fun.

Now a Yo-Yo? A crassic. You could do tricks with that bad boy. Time waster and trick master. It's survived several generations. Prolly most underrated toy ever.

Slinkies are dangerous. If you read the box on old ones, it says" Do not play while driving a motor vehicle". Why? They are hypnotic. I used to drive 70,000 miles a year. Had a slinky on the side console. That sh!t will put you to sleep. Relax you. No different than benway balls. It's relaxing. Try one. If you think pushing it down the stairs is what it was made for..... drink more.

Dear WW,

Paper Airplane is being considered for induction into the National Toy Hall of Fame 2017. So is Sand. I went with Dirt/mud pie because I did make them at a very young age. Was fun.

So that said I have disqualified you as a serious voter.

To each their own and like you said voting is subjective-

:bench:

Paper Arplane and Erector set should of won me this draft.

I'm having a hard time deciding between these three:

TBBOM
LEGO's
Easy Bake Oven
Play Doh
BB Gun
Remote Control Car

Trading Cards

edjr
GI Joe's
Star Wars Action Figures
Rubik's Cube
Furby
Etch-A-Sketch

Trivial Pursuit

KSB
Barbie
Transformers
Yo-Yo
NERF Balls
Evil Knievel Stunt Cycle
Teddy Bear

I want to vote for edjr because of Star Wars action figures alone, but Furby is holding me back.

KSB nailed his draft, wish I hadn't been too old or missed out on Transformers.

No one picked Bop It or Milk Caps? Major fail.

Also GAMING systems are toys. Kids don't play with tin trucks anymore. All the hardware that is associated with gaming consoles and technological advances in games don't matter. Yeah sure okay everything can be technically classified as a toy, but consoles were designed to be toys from the start. Computers, cars, etcetera weren't.

"Greatest Toys of All Time"

Furby is there.

I didn't own one, but doesn't mean it didn't sweep the world

In 1998, the newest electronic plaything to hit the market was Furby — a furry, animatronic creature that spoke "Furbish" but could eventually learn English, only to shower you with terms of endearment. Furby sold 1.8 million units in 1998 and a staggering 14 million in 1999.Feb 16, 2011

To compete in the emerging tech-toy market, toy giant Hasbro in 1997 acquired Tiger Electronics, the creators of the popular Giga Pets. In 1998, the newest electronic plaything to hit the market was Furby — a furry, animatronic creature that spoke "Furbish" but could eventually learn English, only to shower you with terms of endearment. Furby sold 1.8 million units in 1998 and a staggering 14 million in 1999. Combined, Furby had a vocabulary of nearly 200 Furbish and English words — but he really needed only one phrase — "I love you" — to tackle the hearts of kids and adults all over the U.S.

I was between TTBOM and Sux. Cruzer coming in third. I voted Sux as most all of TTBOM's choices are dependent on parents actually buying you more batteries and cake mixes and bb's. The Play-Doh is dry in a week so that's worthless and they won't replace it because you don't respect money which doesn't grow on trees and next time you'll know to keep the lid on it but there won't be a next time because your parents suck at life and are flat ass broke.

Sux's choices are playable no matter what. Good job Sux.

How many Personal Messages has Sux sent out already asking for votes?

I'm setting the O/U at 5 and he hasn't even has a Coors Light yet.

See... I was going to ask the exact question about our chiner frined.

Tell me theres a kid alive who doesnt love playing with fireworks. They are toys, sorry if adults blow their hands off with them. At least a few guys here have some sense, my picks are every kids dream childhood. Slinky is a bit weak, but its still iconic.

TBB has Legos yea, they were the no.1 pick. But play doh and easy bake oven is a weak duo. Doh is strictly worse than modeling clay and oven was just a lightbulb and made bad baked goods. His remote control car is cool but my power wheels lets you drive a freakin car for real!

I urge you to reconsider and change your vote in my favor!

Sux? We already know this is his Super Bowl in life so hes logged into all 5 aliases to secure votes, his squad is wack. Linkin logs AND Tinker toys? Both inferior Legos and redundant.

Are you focking kidding me?

One of my favorite memories as a child was putting my play doh in my younger sisters easy bake oven.

How the hell else are you gonna learn about the birds and the bees at 8 yrs old?

Seriously, tho...It totally messed up her oven and my play doh. Only grounded for 2 weeks

I have sent zero. Nor used an alias, nor had a heterosexual life partner vote for me.

And you?

Guilty as charged on #3 :(

i think barry bonds has ben considered for the MLB hall of fame as well :dunno:

:P ..... but seriously, bad job on them if they think paper airplane is a HoF worthy "toy".

Does Sand / Sand Castles count as toys? Or is it the tools used to make a Sand Castle?

Good people, The few non aliases that voted for sux, I urge you to swap your vote for a more deserving candidate. A candidate with a toy thats fun for a girl or a boy and can go downstairs alone or in pairs. Be the change you want to see! This is the most important decision since the election, dont fock this one up like you did that one.

Thoughts on Knex? I didn't have them growing up but my kids did. Kinda like bendable Tinker Toys, their flexibility made it much easier for kids to be creative and build things. Arguably the most iconic toy I can think of from my kids' childhood.

not sure if knex would be the most iconic toy from your kids childhood. Then again im not sure how old your kids are but I can't have more than 10 years on them and my younger bro is probably fairly close to their age.

What would you say instead? My kids are 21, 19, and 16. If you rule out video game consoles, I can't think of anything better.

My wife said Brio trains which are up there, but when I said Knex, she thought that was up there as well. :dunno:

Hmmm...Did I finally win at something here?

Also, KSB, You have to do the video game draft next.

I was gonna attempt it, but I'm way to stupid and lazy too do a decent job.

If I sober up this weekend I'll pm your kat stroking, sweater vest wearing ass as far as what I thought the parameters should be, and then you can tear them apart and make your own.

Seriously, tho...Best Video Games of all time.

Best Toys of all Time is better, but this would be a decent follow up, right?

Not sure. My bro is 24 and I'm trying to think of what he played with. Can't say he ever owned Knex. I had to Google it to be honest. I feel like pokemon was huge (the first time around). That was video game, caRd game, action figures. All encompassing.

Would have to think of others. And pokemon was probably just before your kids

No, my son played with pokemon cards, I thought of those as well. I know I ruled out video game consoles, but they played the crap out of Game Boys.

Lawn Zarts were the best.  Heavy sharp objects flying through the air.
