I assume. I guess that will be settled in the vote

vuduchile 1,945 Posted January 26, 2018 Im going to do my best to post as many versions from that Midnight Special discology that was a great show It really was awesome. Pre MTV, that show and Solid Gold gave us a glimpse of the bands we liked.
vuduchile 1,945 Posted January 26, 2018 There are several artists who became lame and sappy in the 80s after absolutely rocking the 70s. None more so than this band. Its such a shame they never gave us anything else that rocks as hard as.... 6.13 Roll With The Changes - REO Speedwagon

The Elevator Killer 523 Posted January 26, 2018 I also want to say I really like the Aqualung pick. Big Guy may not be in the running for the best draft, but he's had his moments like We are the Champions. I saw Tull with a band that I can't mention because they haven't been picked yet. They were the first band that I saw that used a big screen at a stadium show. Tullavision. Others may have done it before, IDK. But it was great to be able to actually see the performers. The next song Big Guy sent me showed me he's having fun with his picks at this point. Good guy.

titans&bucs&bearsohmy! 2,745 Posted January 26, 2018 I was considering Jethro Tull with this pick, but not that song. So many possible directions to go here... still lots of classic rock to be had. None of the great folk has gone yet. Nor much of the R&B... Fock it. I'm going Almost Famous. 6.14 - Tiny Dancer - Elton John

Iconic in so many ways that was kind of a carry over from the 60s. I'm also very pleased that only 1 disco song has been picked. I can't fault it being picked because it was a big song, but I just hate disco.

nzoner 937 Posted January 26, 2018 6.12 Aqualung - Jethro Tull for Big Guy Big Tull fan just hesitant to draft this early because if I did I'd have to take my absolute favorite and I think everyone would go huh?

Big Guy 1,412 Posted January 26, 2018 Big Tull fan just hesitant to draft this early because if I did I'd have to take my absolute favorite and I think everyone would go huh? I hear you, most of my favorites aren't hits, but they aren't in danger of being chosen either This song is simply legendary. I've been into Tull greatly this year. It's crazy that they're having a 50th Anniversary Tour this year. I've never seen one of the greatest performers IMO of our time before, so I may finally go. Big Guy 1,412 Posted January 26, 2018 7.1 I Don't Like Mondays - The Boomtown Rats I was wondering when we'd see some new wave stuff creeping into the draft, up until now Roxanne was the closest to it.

Seen them twice, once was a smaller intimate show where they played two sets of 90% deep cuts,a friend that went with me was not impressed as he only knew "the hits" .Personally I thought it was great. fandandy 3,313 Posted January 26, 2018 If no one objects I wouldn't mind handing over my team to TEK. He seems to know this music much better than I and I think it would be beneficial for the draft to have someone a bit more knowledgeable than myself.

Thanks anyway TEK
titans&bucs&bearsohmy! 2,745 Posted January 26, 2018 6.15. Blinded By The Light- Manfred Mann/ Springsteen Fock. That was gonna be my next pick. I figured that since you already had born to run, you wouldn't double up. Although I think you only get one version, not both.

I wouldn't object to taking over your team. I also wouldn't object to coaching you when you get stuck. It's easy from my point to sit there with no skin in the game. It's another thing to make a pick against others. You are doing nicely.

titans&bucs&bearsohmy! 2,745 Posted January 26, 2018 Well, since HT took my Springsteen song, I'm gonna go R&B. This is probably a reach, but I would hate to see it go somewhere else. I focking love this sing. 7.1 - Ain't No Sunshine - Bill Withers

Both of those versions are focking excellent. I was gonna take the Bruce version, but if I could get the Mann version too, all the better. lol

titans&bucs&bearsohmy! 2,745 Posted January 26, 2018 You were going to pick the Bruce version? Really? After I took MM's ? No, I was planning on taking the song. Have been all day. You took it, fair and square. No, that would be dooshy to the extreme. I meant I was planning on taking the one version. The issue is not unique to this song. Same thing with my Eagles/Jackson Browne song.
