kujerry 9 Posted July 4, 2018 Drafting 5th in a 14 team PPR League, Start QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR/RB/TE . 6 PTS for QB TDs I'm Keeping Melvin Gordon in the 4th other Options Keenan in 2nd Wentz in 7th Goff in 17th Was leaning toward Goff, but after looking at it thinking or going with Keenan in the 2nd. By the time the my pick gets back to me in the 2nd there will be nothing like Keenan left. Is value just too good not to keep Goff in 17th when he's going between 8-10 right now, or Wentz in 7th when he going 6-7 rounds or keep a skill player and just get a new comparable QB later? weepaws 2,461 Posted July 4, 2018 Proverbs 3:3. I don’t see this being a tough decision, Goff.
seafoam1 1,879 Posted July 4, 2018 Keep Keenan Allen. Grab a QB whenever.
Super Cubs 132 Posted July 4, 2018 since you have the 5th pick I would keep Gordon or Allen Just curious how does Melvin Gordon equal a 4th
kujerry 9 Posted July 4, 2018 Just curious how does Melvin Gordon equal a 4th I drafted him in the 4th round 2 years ago. This will be my last year with him. Have to drop next year
ralphster 274 Posted July 4, 2018 Keep KA. Pick up a comparable QB later on.
boilerddd 62 Posted July 4, 2018 I agree with the keep Allen crowd on this one. You can find another QB later that will be of Goff's caliber.
seafoam1 1,879 Posted July 4, 2018 Starting wirh Gordon and Allen is pretty good. Just don't waste either keeper spot with a QB.
TimmySmith 2,782 Posted July 4, 2018 I'll take Goff for basically nothing. Keep the 1st and 2nd and see what's available.
SaintsInDome2006 128 Posted July 4, 2018 Wentz all the way.
giraldi02 470 Posted July 4, 2018 I'll take Goff for basically nothing. Keep the 1st and 2nd and see what's available. Yep. Getting Goff as the 229th player drafted is a no brainer in my eyes. It's maximizing value

TBayXXXVII 2,117 Posted July 5, 2018 I'm keeping Gordon and Allen. QB's can always be found for pennies on the dollar.
polecatt 403 Posted July 5, 2018 It's a close call but I say Goff. Wentz is coming off an ACL tear and Goff has some new weapons. I wouldn't be surprised if the Eagles come back to earth a bit this season.
TimmySmith 2,782 Posted July 5, 2018 Wentz is coming off an ACL tear.... RG4. Wentz shouldn't even be considered in this thread. I can't find a single example of a mobile QB having an impact after ACL. Certainly not 1 year after.

TBayXXXVII 2,117 Posted July 5, 2018 RG5. I see your point, but I don't think Wentz is in that same mold. RG3 and Vick were athletes who's running set up their throwing. That's not Wentz's bag. He supplements his passing with throwing. He's more similar to Russell Wilson. I didn't see enough of Watson, so I don't know if he's a RG3/Vick type QB or a Wilson, but in little blips I've seen, I think he's more of the latter like Wentz. Again, I'm not positive on Watson, but both he and Wentz seem more like Steve Young/McNair style QB's than RG3 and Michael Vick.

His excapability is what sets up his passes. Wentz would never be able to replicate the passing that Foles displayed in the SB
polecatt 403 Posted July 5, 2018 Why would you keep a fantasy mediocre QB at any round? Are all the good QBs off the board? Mediocre? In my league Wentz was the top QB when he went down and Goff was a top 5 all season. I would just prefer the reliability of that than a WR who misses more games than he plays. Ray_T 591 Posted July 13, 2018 I do agree, the value is too good not to keep Goff for the price of a 17th round pick even if it turned out bad for you the risk is very small. potential returns are very good.
