Trump's 4th of July celebration

and we’re gonna have some tanks stationed outside,” Trump said while also acknowledging that measures would need to be taken to protect infrastructure.

“You’ve got to be pretty careful with the tanks because the roads have a tendency not to like to carry heavy tanks so we have to put them in certain areas but we have the brand new Sherman tanks and we have the brand new Abrams tanks,” Trump added.

While the US continues to operate the M1 Abrams tank the US military has not used World War II-era M4 Sherman tanks since the 1950s.

------------------

So, other than Trump himself finally admitting and acknowledging what the Pentagon and DC had said long ago about the roads...

Its gonna be Great to see those state-of-the-art Sherman tanks. LOL what a f****** maroon. 😂

As much as I agree with some things he does, his dumass cant get out of his own way sometimes.  He could turn down the D bag factor some too.  I guess hes just one of those guys that since age 18, if you attack him, hes gives it back to you twice as bad.

Jeebus fock. People who like writhing in  Trump hatred will whine and cry about anything. Talk about raining on a parade.

This, these people are focking pathetic.

I will agree that part of this is a perfect metaphor for the current state but it has nothing to do with labeling the speech and has everything to do with the mind set that some would rather see something bad happen that negatively impacts the POTUS and by virtue our country than see a united front on this day, nope, they sit and wish for bad things to happen soley so they can scream Orange Man bad, not matter the negative impact.

Get used to it, we have many years more of it ahead of us

And there are just as many people sitting around screaming MAGA regardless of what happens, so I'm not sure what point you are making other than you don't like the other side for doing it.

Question, disregarding any of the before stuff, the President hosting this event, the fact that GOP donors are getting VIP treatment at a taxpayer funded celebration, the use of the military---starting at square zero that the plan is for an apolitical celebration of our Independence Day---if the President gave a clearly politically tinged speech at a tax payer funded celebration using the military as a prop(a strict no-no), would you think that is wrong?

If it where clearly political or even majority political, yes, I would agree that is not appropriate.

I love how you set that up, disregard all the things from before, but here, let me list those things.

Question for you, would you rather have a country of people who support their POTUS, even when he errors, or a country full of people hoping the sky will fall so they can proclaim "told ya so"

Even Megla realizes that. That's why he won't take my bet. US presidents use the 4th of July platform to sing the praises of this great country. To speak to all of its citizens, not just the 40% who worship him.  When he's using his donations to hold his hate rallies, that's his business. But using tax payer money to spread his rhetoric and hatred is unprecedented. Just imagine Obama spending iam90s money to hold a pep rally for himself?  Lol. His little head would explode.

The great mind reader and don't let the facts get in the way, pretty sure I countered your "bet" with something with teeth and not a peep out of you.

Only a fool would hope the pilot flying the plane they're on crashes let alone try and cause him to crash. The left is following the media blindly without realizing the media is being paid to go after Trump.

Were you on some kind of foreign mission without Internet access from basically 1992 until last year?

False

The mass majority of Americans want their POTUS to succeed, being a critique is one thing, what we are seeing in this current climate is far from that.

Days after he took office Mike Pence said he wanted Obungler to fail. It just feels new because Trumper’s are highly emotional and have a lot of their self value tied up into the President.

One person does not a movement make.

Never said there weren't examples of people wanting a sitting POTUS to fail, what I said is that there was never so many working so hard to make it happen to include the mass media.  We have never seen this type of blatant disregard for what is good for American from it's citizens, NEVER

Many wanted his policies to fail because they were bad for America and it's hard working contributing citizens.

Trumps policies are the opposite and his opposition wants him to fail and even die just because he's not Hillary and his policies arent anti hard working, contributing American.

We’ve never seen a sitting POTUS encourage violence on his protestors and spend his nights bickering with porn stars and celebrities on Twitter either so I guess we’re in uncharted waters here.

Where has the current POTUS encouraged violence? (in his capacity as POTUS)

As for Twitter/Social Media, I agree, but I fear that is the way of the world now.

I set it up that way because I think the presence of POTUS, and the preferential treatment of large cash GOP donors already makes this a political celebration on the taxpayer dime.  EOS, but for the sake of the question I gave them to you.

Obviously the first.   But I'll stop you right now, President Trump isn't the first to face this and I don't believe he has had it any worse than others---so if that's where you are going....just agree to disagree and we should both enjoy our weekends.

As a group, nobody has been more emotional over an election than those who supported Hillary.  They went apesh!t on election night and haven't stopped crying since.

 Trump is the first Republican President of the Internet media age and the 2nd overall.  Are you really comparing media coverage of him and Obama?  Really?

Isn't that pretty much your favorite part of Trump's entire presidency?

That's funny, the places where he is doing well (economy and , ummm. Ok, the economy) I don't hear much liberal screeching about. Probably because we're accustomed to a good economy for the last 7 Obama years.

You’re right nearly all the instances of Trump encouraging violence were when he was campaigning. That would have been unthinkable 5-10 years ago but that’s where we are at as a culture today I guess. Just saying Trump himself bears a lot of the responsibility for the partisan rancor, divisiveness and the general coarsening of the dialogue.

They’ve been posted a million times here. There’s a good summary with supporting links on Snopes.

You are right about that. As evidenced by the fact that many of you are still getting wood over the 57 states comment a dozen years ago. Yet Trump is responsible for far worse far Dumber things on literally a daily basis. Provably false statements on a daily basis in writing. Sometimes even contradicts his own lies in the exact same day. On a daily basis. Did I repeated that this is occurring on a daily basis?

And of course, that is an understatement. So you are absolutely right that we have never seen anything like this before.

Why would you need a link? Just off the top of my head, I can remember him saying to one of his crowds beat the hell out of that guy! And I'll pay your lawyers bills! Maybe you need to spend a little less time on this board in a little more time educating yourself?
