That's what I heard. Sandler played a completely different roll than what we're used to from him and nailed it.

Haven't seen it but it's on my list.

We watched it about a month ago.  I thought it was good but not as good as everyone spoke about it.  Still solid and worth watching though.

I didn't like it very much which is weird because I like Sandler, KG, and gambling.

Hard to find a gauge on how good it is said to be.   Ive definitely heard good things.  But not like movie of the year type stuff what so ever.

I have been intrigued since it came out.  Did not make it to theaters.  Tried to stream it for free and kept finding terrible quality stuff.  So I waited until American Netflix came with it.

Im excited to watch it.  I may go for it Sunday night.

If anything else I think it will hold my attention.  Im a hard critic on movies and think most everything that comes out these days sucks.  But this plot pulls on what I am in to.  Sadler in a different role should be cool.  Ive always thought he needed to get away from goofy comedy.

That's what it was for me I think.  Too frenetic.

All about the hustle, I thought he killed it.

Watched it last night.  I thought it was good and overrated at the same time, if that makes sense.  I would recommend it as a movie to anyone, I enjoyed the story, the editing, pacing and even Sandler, but on my rating scale where 4 stars is oscar worthy and 4.5 is classic territory, Uncut Gems is a just a 3.75.  It's good, the editing is Oscar worthy, Sandler's performance is probably his best ever...but an overall Oscar film worthy, no----dozens of actors could have done what he did.   It's worth checking out, it's a good flick and I liked it....I will admit, I didn't see the ending coming.

Why was his brother in law so keen to stop him from placing bets. Obviously He owed him money but why have his bets canceled with other bookies / casinos ?

If you owe me money, pay me. Don’t be making bets. :nono:

One of these days I’ll see a good movie that people rave about. Yesterday wasn’t that day.
