The way to stop demonizing each other is for both sides to communicate on a human level.  And that in particular means to the left to STOP with the personal attacks.  Stop trolling with calling all republicans stupid.  You cannot call for this nation to be unfocked until the left stops with the name-calling and skyscreaming. 

One of the BIG steps would be for Steven Colbert to be fired.  He gaslights the nation nightly.  The nation's discourse took a HUGE tailspin when he got the late show gig in 2015.  He just spews hate constantly.

In general, any liberal that enters internet conversations and threads to firebomb right-wingers and then begs that we need to "figure out a way to stop demonizing each other" needs to look in the damn mirror.

This is where we are at right now:  the Trump case is about invaliding the electors in several states by getting the SCOTUS to say they counts are irredeemably compromised.  We are still working through the process of getting this to SCOTUS.

Conclusion: Pennsylvania is irredeemably compromised.

Part of what is going on is just trapping the democrats into saying the wrong things and taking the incorrect actions to make the case later.

Republican sate legislatures are saying they will follow the vote count when determining which set of electors to send.  For now.  But hell there were revolutionaries that originally denounced the Boston Tea Party that later flipped and sided with them.  George Washington was one of them. Opinions can change, especially if the SCOTUS gives them cover.

Alito gave a pretty candid speech today, personally delving into hot button issues like governors ruling like tyrants and gay marriage.  I guess you can take this two ways. 

1. this is the SCOTUS getting people comfortable with the idea that the court is going to go full partisan and rule strong in favor of Trump on the election.
2. the SCOTUS is going to rule against Trump.  In order to soften the blow, they are sending Alito out there to make partisan statements in favor of the right wing.

why did they need to count them in the middle of the night if it was just normal mail in votes, why are you afraid of it playing out in court?

That they called the count for the night is absolutely wrong, they counted through the entire first night and as more mail-in ballots were counted they pushed Biden's total higher.

It is playing out in court. Trump keeps losing. Come January he won’t be POTUS anymore. Don should accept that fact and leave with class, but he can’t. Because he’s a piece of chit.

so why do you have a problem with that? would Biden have conceded? Hillary told him not to, Facebook and twitter prepared ahead of time to not allow Trump to make claims.  He should give up when he has proof or claims too?  Is that would you do? 

and again the whole process is to get it to the supreme court, you cant do that without going thru the appeals

In most states, election officials could start the arduous process that goes into counting mail votes many days before Election Day, but in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, officials had their hands tied by state laws that did not allow for such preparation.

To be clear, this sort of waiting game for results is not uncommon.
