Antifa at one time was a not-bad movement. It started in Europe in the 1920 as a means of confronting the rise of fascism, the Nazis and Adolph Hitler. Had it worked, we could have avoided World War II and millions of lives lost. In the ensuing decades in America, Antifa would pop up to confront the KKK, neo-Nazis, skinheads and other racist things. But there was very little in the way of violence and vandalism. 

Biden was right in saying it's an idea, not a nationally organized group, although there are some scattered local chapters. It popped up when Trump took office. The problem is that it broadened what it opposes to include anything to the right of themselves and engaged in violence and vandalism to get their point across. I've lost three leftie friends in the past year or so after they made Facebook posts egging on the violence and vandalism and calling for more. I politely suggested that perhaps there are more peaceful means of protesting and finding common ground, which was met with a fusillade of anger, race baiting and name calling. One of these was our very own Torrid Joe. If you thought he was radical back in the 2000s, that was nothing compared to the way he is now. To him, anything to the right of Bernie Sanders is fascist and racist. It's ridiculous.

The basic law of physics is that with every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction, and that's what we have now, with that arrogant monkey in the White House fanning the flames. The reaction to that and the actions of the left is the rise of the alt-middle, with a desire to build bridges and work together to solve problems. Yes, there are people like that in the world.

Torrid Joe's response was no different than the very alt-right vitriol peppered all over this forum. At least back in the 2000s there was a certain level of respect, intelligence and actually weighing other perspectives here. Now it's populated with delusional, knuckleheaded nonsense, with talk of revolution, civil war and all that. 

The reality is that far-left radicals have killed only one person in the last 25 years, and that was in September. The extreme right has been responsible for hundreds of deaths and produced the likes of Timothy McVeigh and David Koresh. 

I've voted for Republican presidents all my life dating all the way back to Ronald Reagan. 

But not this time.

This deranged man in the White House is a narcissist and sociopath who has managed to nurture, seduce and fool a huge segment of the U.S. population, much in the way Hitler did, using fear tactics and pointing to things to hate. I can't recall a presidential election in this country whose outcome resulted in bells ringing and fireworks in Europe. He's failure as a businessman and desperately trying to stay in office to avoid the legal vultures that will descend on him as soon as he steps foot outside the White House, which this country has ordered him to do. This election will turn out to be an electoral landslide for Biden, so you can have all the boat rallies and flag-fluttering caravans all you want to, but Trump is done at the Oval Office, and there isn't a shred of evidence that will dictate otherwise.

For the betterment of this country, he needs to stop being a soar loser and concede, but that's not his nature. His first campaign should have been toast when he mocked the handicapped person, but he did stand for something for the silent majority four years ago.

Hopefully in four years, the Republicans will put out a better presidential candidate, one who well-represents the party and doesn't embarrass this country on a daily basis.

The only plantations I know of are tourist attractions, where the guides dress up in frilly outfits and discuss historical things that fascists such as you refuse to accept or were not properly taught in school. I felt educated after visiting one once, but I wouldn't call what transpired there an act of brainwashing from some master. It was pretty much Barney and Gertrude in period outfits.

There is a farm in my family. It's over in Arkansas, and I don't work there. I've never been there and don't know exactly where it is. I do get some profits from it annually. They grow soy beans. 

Once we inherit the farm, we'll either sell it or maybe grow weed. Then I can buy and sell your ignorant fascist ass 10 times over, but weed will come with the benefits package, for sure.

Trump's words and actions absolutely smack of fascism. This turd wanted his face on Mount Rushmore and would have pushed for a third term if he hadn't gotten beat for a second on. His actions have been dictatorial in nature. Thank God for how our country is set up to keep a buttknuckle like him in check. 

Some of you fascists are saying a civil war is coming. It won't unless the fascists refuse to accept Trump's defeat and create one, which would be an act of treason. But that's OK, because I have lots and lots of guns and can shoot the pecker off fly from a half mile away.
