Clownzilla made the authoritarian moves. This is a free-speech issue that libel and slander lawsuits need to keep in check, not federal legislation.

The Dominion lawsuit is the kind of thing that can help stop the spread of baloney, if they can prove the case. Fox throwing Lou Dobbs under the bus says all you need to know about the state of the media and Fox's confidence in what he said regarding voter fraud.

Shapiro talked about this the other day; he had two interesting points.  One:  they know they can’t actually legislate the restriction of free speech since SCOTUS will shoot it down.  So instead they do things like this; send letters with tacit threats to the media platforms.  Two, they are intentionally conflating “disinformation” with “misinformation.”  The former is an intentional distribution of false information to influence behavior.  The latter is much more subjective and not intentional.  Note that the article in the OP starts with “dis” and later changes to “mis.”  And... as soon as I started typing this our resident defender of the 4th estate, former journalist @Rusty Syringes, types this gem:

But someone posted it here that the police officer that was said to have died from being hit in the head with a fire extinguisher didn’t actually die from that and The NY Times had to retract their report of it even though they blasted it constantly only to quietly retract it

No one was throwing fire bombs at police? No one took over Portland for weeks? No one smashed up stores on Michigan Ave, in downtown Chicago? No one burned down a police station and stormed others? No one killed or injured cops? No civilians were killed or hurt? No motorists were harassed on roadways? No one got hit by cars because they wouldn't let them pass while banging on their hoods and windows and terrorizing motorists? No one threw bricks at cops? No one stormed people's homes because they disagreed with what they said? Targets weren't looted and destroyed? Other people's businesses weren't looted and destroyed?

What percentage of people who were out protesting in DC or were at the Trump rally went into the capitol? Was it like 25,000-30,000 or so that showed up? Some say it was much, much higher than that. How many went into the capitol?
