Biden didn’t call him xenophobic for stopping travel from China (which had a loophole that still allowed a lot of people to travel from China), he called him Xenophobic for calling it the Chinavirus (although I don’t agree that that’s xenophobic).  And by then most of our cases were actually coming from Europe.

Edit:  Obviously the vaccine was a huge deal.  But he could have done things differently prior to that.  And we don’t know if anyone else could have done similar with the vaccine (similar to how I believe we’d probably still have a similar vaccinated percentage even if Trump was still president).

You're wrong.  Here's a good opinion piece on this, with you know, facts and stuff.  Show me where in Biden's comments he says he's calling Trump xenophobic because Trump said "Chinavirus."  I'm not even sure when Trump started using that word but nothing Biden said in the comments quoted in this article mention that, and the comments come the day after Trump restricted travel from China.  As Biden would say, "Come on man!!!"

Biden did in fact call the president “xenophobic” in a tweet sent on Feb. 1 — the day after the ban — though he did not specifically note the travel restrictions.

Well I already said I agreed it wasn’t xenophobic to call it the Chinavirus, but one could argue that the majority of those clips were calling it the Wuhan Coronavirus, not the Chinavirus, so it’s a little different.  Also basically the second half of the clips are them cutting off saying “China’s coronavirus outbreak” which was just describing an event.

Meanwhile, Strike’s post literally said “show me where Biden said it was about Trump calling it the Chinavirus” (which I did), yet he provided a link that didn’t “show me where Biden said it was about the travel ban.”  Lololol

Regardless, I don’t really care why Biden called Trump xenophobic and it was irrelevant to my original point that I think Trump could have managed covid better which would have helped his chances in the election.    For one, I didn’t think Biden would have done much if any better (hence why I still voted for Trump), although some people may have.  In addition, the “China travel ban” had a lot of exceptions and many of our imported cases came from Europe, so it likely wasn’t very effective anyway.  We weren’t going to stop covid from coming here, but we (Edit: and this includes the Democrat governors that killed nursing home residents) could have done a better job controlling it once it did.  Namely, with better testing and contact tracing.

I agree that Trumps performance on Covid could have been more serious, and that it probably influenced some folks in the middle.  That being said, I submit that the DNC/MSM was hell bent on attacking Trump with Covid propaganda no matter how “well” he did.  No way would they let that opportunity go to waste.  The goalposts would just have moved, and @TimHauck would be here listing a different set of “if only’s”.  And the vast majority of people in the middle who don’t follow this stuff as closely as we on this site do, would have concluded that Trump totally sucked with Covid.

Yeah the part before you accuse me of participating in the goalpost moving is probably true.  Reminds me of the people that like to say “600k are dead because of Trump!!”  That’s dumb.   We were going to have probably at least a couple hundred thousand dead regardless.  But I do think the number could have been smaller if he (and Democrat governors) did some things differently.  Would it have been enough to win the election?  I don’t know, I don’t think I ever said he “would have” won, just that he “could have.”   I also don’t really think that many people “truly in the middle” are all that swayed by the MSM.
