My favorite is the bullet that parents can opt out their child from any curriculum and that the teacher will come up with a specific plan for that child.   Esp with this entitlement generation.

Ohio teachers spend over 1k a month for insurance..retires I know.  Most of them are substitutes  to help the cost

I admit there is alot wrong with education..no question..but for a rural district just getting by on a stretched budget...they dont have time or the resources to get involved with that crap..guaranteed.

You’re probably right. But the national union is setting the agenda for everyone. At some point it could/ will find those areas as well. Even if it doesn’t , they still fund the people that push the garbage. They need to stop funding them if they aren’t aligned.

How hard was that? They think they are immune to this shite because it’s not happening to them.  But it’s happening to our country, and that should concern level headed people. Let's be honest about this.  The reason this bill is being introduced is to protect conservatives against the liberal education agenda... not rewrite the curriculum.  Normal people just want their kids to be taught the essentials.

I actually agree with a lot of what you're saying in this thread about teachers... but on this one, the teachers cause this.  Why?  They vote Democrat.  If they stop voting Democrat, the towns will not allow the woke crap to even be approached in their agenda.  The Board of Education is an entity WITHIN the government, they aren't in charge.  The only reason these policies get pushed it's because their local and state governments encourage it.  The only politicians who do that, are Democrats.  Stop voting Democrat and things like this stop.

I agree with that but I don't think this is the way to do it.  I just see it making everything worse and creating an even bigger divide.
