No one has ever cared what happens in Africa. That is a whole ‘nother issue. But glad you are concerned now, maybe something good can come out of that

China cares. So does Russia

The first lesson in money laundering is to become president and fund an overseas conflict with tax payer money?

Perhaps you don't know what money laundering is.  Money laundering 101 is have the bribes your family took washed through bogus art sales.

Funding the Ukraine conflict is more like a PhD level course in kickbacks.

All those recent videos of Kiev nightlife and beach parties filled with military aged men and women just confirms this isn't the "war" the media makes it out to be.

Don't know why our gas prices are whatever... but heard some smart egg-head economist recently who said it's interesting Saudi cut production hoping prices would skyrocket and many worried oil prices would soar. Turns out, they don't have as much influence as they used to. Other OPEC countries said "we won't cut back, we desperately need the money." Also helps India flooding the market with cheap oil they bought off Russia.

Just making a point. An inconvenient truth as they say. Also, why are we still buying uranium from Russia?

I'm under the opinion at this point that both sides needs to cut their losses and come to a peace agreement.

1.) Russia gets to keep what it has.

2.) Russia pays reparations.

3.) Russia accepts Ukraine joining NATO so this doesn't happen again.

Ukraine needs to weigh how far this offensive can go before winter sets in vs. waning West support and battlefield loss of life.

While the offensive is making slow progress, I don't think Ukraine has what it takes to kick Russia out of Crimea and elsewhere gains have been made.

With the aforementioned agreement, no one gets what they want, this thing ends, and the world is a better place.

Russia can't take over Ukraine, and Ukraine likely can't reclaim all of the territory it lost.

Dude we said this months ago.  US should work towards a peace deal instead of funding a never ending war that just slaughters a generation of men.  Glad you have finally seen enough bloodshed.  You told us how Russia is weak and thr US needs to stay the course until they lose.

I suppose late is better than never with you.

Don't get me wrong. I support Western support for Ukraine and would like to see Ukraine win. I don't regret my past position on this war and have always taken a practical viewpoint of it. But Western support is waning as the war slowly is working toward a stalemate, and it doesn't help that winter and a U.S. presidential year approaches.

Russia is weak and slowly is losing ground, but it has created a formidable defensive network that a military hasn't faced in almost a century. Urkaine doesn't have the air power needed to overcome that, and Russia doesn't have the resources to take back any more ground. I've stated many times before that I wish Ukraine would just let go of the Russian gains and end the war, and it has gained back roughly half of what Russia had gained.

But as things thing grinds to a stalemate, it's time for the two sides to suck it up and end this thing.

No one knows what the United States and other nations are doing behind closed doors to and this thing. I have to think they're doing something.

Don't you?

They may be negotiating hard.  But funding a Ukraine side of the war almost completely makes it hard for Russia to want to come to that table.

Your whole scenario sounds nice to end this thing.  But both sides would need to want that.  Hell one side may not even be down for that.  So Russia makes a few gains depletes a ton of men and resources just to agree to Ukraine being in NATO as soon as the dotted line is signed?  Really?  And Ukraine themselves are stubborn about conceding land.

We gave away how many billions for how many men to be slaughtered?   In your ending scenario.....for what?

You kept on saying it was worth it because Russia was exposed and (hands up) "it aint me or our people that live here dying".   Ok then....expose them.  Go win if Russia sucks so bad.  Trillions more.   Expose them!  It is so simple!

Anyone opposed to this thing and said Ukraine wasn't winning was "pro russian". No it was just common sense.  Russia has men.  And are willing to fight an ugly war for as long as it takes.

WTF does NATO mean?  Ukraine wasn't in NATO. Yet we handed over a blank check anyway.  What next time Russia acts tough and Ukraine is in NATO it means another blank check but this time we send our men over?  Why does the United States get every raw end of a deal?   The rest of the European pansy countries don't do shlt.

If Ukraine hadn't bloodied Russia's nose and repelled a full-scale takeover of the country, the world would not be a better place. Russian expansion is not a good thing. It creates all kinds of instability, and god knows what they'd be doing to the Ukrainian people if they'd pulled off what they had planned. We're talking genocide here, and they've shown from the beginning that this is what they are.

This kind of autocratic aggression has no place in the world, and I'm perfectly fine with the help we've given them and will continue to give them.

But with a potential stalemate looming on the horizon, it's time for those fockers to work it out and move on from this bloody mess.

Rusty completely blew the call on ukraine. He was screaming all the good news for ukraine, building a false case for victory for them.  Oh and RUSSIA DIDNT EVEN ATTACK THE US.

So hes got a blown prediction for a wasteful senseless war

Hearing reports that Ukies are refusing to take their posts in the north as Russia grabs more territory.  Ukraine army is likely near the breaking point.  Mostly inexperienced troops and now they are getting starved for equipment after Odessa got shut down.

Cant wait to see rusty in the Poland thread where he will play the same act again, attack people for not cheering on the war or for not backing the effort, making biased shiit claims and then trying to back out at the end.

Easy for us to say. If somebody invaded the U.S. and took a fifth of the country, would we just shrug it off?

I’m not saying you’re wrong, it probably will end up that way. And if you accept that reality then every life given between now and inevitable capitulation is in vain. But still, Ukraine has a right to it’s sovereignty just as every other nation

Without our assistance, Russia would have/will completely steamroll Ukraine.

How is that an acceptable outcome??

Because he did before the neo cons showed up? You remember them. They didn’t go away after Bush, FYI.  Now you like them. And think they got this right. Weird.
