The PGA meets in private to basically tell existing players that they are stealing all of the LIVs formats, and they think they can do this?  They need to fire Jay yesterday.

Best thing to happen for the players on Tour who already live well off? Sure.  What else is good about it? Losing half of the top players?  Lower ratings? Some Monday Night XFL golf?  So because one guy stayed after PGA reluctantly changed format and gave out more money is.....good for thr PGA? As opposed to having all the players and going along the way they were?  I don't get your stance but maybe I am missing something you are seeing

I said it from the start.  Good for the players to have an option and force the PGAs hand.  Terrible for the viewers.  But I guess if I was concerned about tons of stud players leaving.....that I didn't really like golf and only liked big names.

That’s because people who hated the idea of LIV wanted to spin it that way… just poaching old, has beens. 
 

Phil was right. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity to change how the PGA operates. Yea he took the $$ but he knew the PGA was sitting on reserves and not truly doing all for its players. If the PGA had responded sooner instead of sticking their heads in the sand, they might have kept some other guys as well. 
 

there is still a lot to play out in all of this. People still think LIV will fold. Let’s say LIV folds in 2-3 years. You think those guys won’t find a way back on the PGA? You think sponsors won’t push to get them back at their events?

I don't blame any of the sell outs.  Hard to turn down big bags of cash over actual achievement and/or legacy.  Kudos to Matsuyama and Cameron Young for playing the long game instead of being blinded by short term gains.

Has anyone ever even watched one hole of a LIV tournament?  Y'all know how this ends right?

Cameron Young flat out said part of his choice to stay with the PGA had to do with the changes they are instituting. All the top PGA guys have greatly benefited financially from LIV.

2.  Yes the PGA has a problem.  It’s because a government entity with all but unlimited money is backing an Ex-PGA member (Norman) with an axe to grind. And is throwing stupid up front money at players, because they can.  This is NOT private free market capitalism where best Tour wins, it’s a hostile buy out by a middle eastern country.  Wake up.

I would watch if it was on tv and for me that’s the big question when it comes to how long it will last. Are there any rumors of possible tv contracts?

It might not be any of them but I do think it gets picked up.  Don’t remember espn having leaderboards the first 2 events but the past two they have LIV leaderboard listed. Just a matter of time.
