and my thought has been and always will be.

if you have a problem with the govt take it to the govt, don't burn down your neighbors store

fwiw, thats semantics, I would say we are and always have been under an oppressive regime

If this is a veiled reference to trying to compare the summer of 2020 to January 6th I'm not for looters joining in on protests for the sole purpose of destroying property so no need to go down that road.

We aren't under an oppressive regime. We have a government we sometimes like and most times we don't. Go talk to people in Saudi Arabia or Qatar about "oppressive regimes."

oppression is in the eyes of the beholder, I hear all the time how minorities are oppressed, I would say the middle class and poor as a whole are oppressed.  All decisions are made for big war, big pharma, big business, wall street first and foremost

yep exactly, without all of that, I would have looked down more on J6, as it stood I just kinda figured, well its even

even though only 1 person a rioter died, vs 20+ during BLM riots, which the current admin paid for and supported

I wouldn’t go as far as your last statement. Again, there is a line between the protestors and the rioter/looters. Just like there is between the people that showed up to the rally on Jan 6th and those that breached the capitol. I’d say they supported the protesters but not the others.

Did they loot?  They entered a public building to protest.  The police let many of them in.  The fbi had numerous informants in both the small groups who were responsible for breaching security and knew exactly what to expect.  And yet not a damn thing was done to prepare a security force.  What the BLM protestors did was 1000 times worse in terms of property damage and destroying thousands of business.  I really don't give a crap if politicians were inconvienced for one day.  BLM destroyed towns and ruined the livelihood of thousands and thousands of people.

Cmon now, they weren't inconvenienced for just a day...

It's a good thing our country prosecutes violent seditionists instead of those who take non-violent approaches to effect governmental change.

Yes, and kinda no.

Kamala asked for donation to MFF which is for people who need assistance with cash bail. One of the statements from them reads as: “MFF believes that every individual who has been arrested by the police is innocent until proven guilty, and if a judge deems them eligible for bail, they should not have to wait in jail simply because they don’t have the same income or resources as others with more privilege.” So it’s more about the equality than the crime kinda thing.

This was also found in the WaPo article as well: According to an accounting by the American Bail Coalition, verified by The Fact Checker with a review of Hennepin County jail records, all but three of the 170 people arrested during the protests between May 26 and June 2 were released from jail within a week. Of the 167 released, only 10 had to put up a monetary bond to be released; in most cases, the amounts were nominal, such as $78 or $100. In fact, 92 percent of those arrested had to pay no bail — and 29 percent of those arrested did not face charges. (The American Bail Coalition is a trade group of insurance companies who profit from underwriting bail bonds.)

But circling back to MFF.  Because they focus on inequality, of course some bad people are going to end up getting money. Like you can read at the bottom of the linked article.

Having to sit in jail waiting to make bail is more of a deterrent than stiff sentences for predicate criminals.  Your career criminal doesn’t  think he’s going to get convicted, or knows he can take a plea. What he can’t get out of is sitting in jail waiting to make bail. Fist time offenders and non violent offenders are rarely, if ever, given difficult bail amounts, or any. So the only ones bail reform benefits are the predicate criminals.  This is what happens when people don’t have any practical knowledge of how things work. Yeah, I know you can find a rare instance where someone fell through the cracks and was given harsh bail. Maybe fix  that aspect of it instead of letting the dangerous predicates back out to do more harm?

I know for example thankfully the dude that Kyle put down was released on bail that day and out to do some more pedophiling and destruction

so thats a yes

a sitting person in office running for VP should not be soliciting donates to bail out criminals so they can keep destroying things regardless

and quite frankly I had to pay my own bail on multiple occasions and if you can't well im sorry but tough sh1t

dont do the crime if you can't to the time

They always have some bullshit excuse. They just can’t say tough shite. But .00001 pct of the population might get a bad deal. That isn’t even that bad. Vs violent scumbags and as we see in California, pedophiles let out to do more harm. You pursue perfection, you don’t expect it.

On November 19th, using my clearly first rate artistic ability, I sent this noxious thread off to page two giving it the proper burial it deserved. That was supposed to be the last post forever-and-ever. The Jan 6 committee was no more. Good riddance.

"Fock You" ridiculous annoying thread. Go Die in ignominity.

So then, when you resurrected the zombie thread off from the page four or five graveyard, seeing its annoying presence back on page one, it really broke my heart. I was ... sob...  terribly distraught. Now I'm going to have to remember to cut-and-paste my art masterpiece back into the last post this thread at some later day.

The handful of people who actually did something wrong have been found guilty in court.  The MSM will milk this for another month to distract us from not being able to afford Christmas gifts.

Right. But I think there is still some suspicion that Trump either directly, or by way of purposeful inaction, facilitated this thing. And we should know the truth about that.

Despite his clearly and profoundly positive policies, we cannot allow him to be corrupt any more than we can allow Biden to be corrupt.  If we are to restore confidence in the government we cannot continue to allow Presidents to be corrupt and get away with it.  You can go all the way back to Clinton, and every president has demonstrated elements of corrupt behaviors and gotten away with it.  This needs to stop, now.

How much longer do they need to keep looking for the connection?  They just had full trials on the actual bad actors here; did any Trump connection come up?  We've had the dog and pony show for how long, is an indictment imminent?

I suppose we could divert resources from the Hunter/Joe Biden investigation.  I mean, we've already spent roughly... let me add up... carry the one... zero government effort on an incredibly compromised Hunter Biden getting $50K/month to smoke parmesan cheese and saying "10 percent for the Big Guy."  As centrists like @Pimpadeauxhave pointed out, that's just a witch hunt anyway.

As long as Trump remains a threat to run, this will remain a topic of pursuit for Democrats. If Trump backed out of politics tomorrow this entire thing would end.

This is less about the day and what happened, and far more about the legitimate threat to power that Trump represents for Democrats.  If he gets back in there and starts making peoples lives better again, it could spell serious problems for Democrats.

If anyone actually paid attention and didn’t have their fingers in their ears shouting “I can’t hear you" like the obnoxious toddlers that they are. They could see that if you connect the dots it would quite literally be a smoking gun. You don’t do all the things that Trump did after the election and in the order that he did them if you are not trying to retain power by any means. We are lucky that there were enough reasonable people that wouldn’t do what he wanted or that managed to talk him out of some of the more desperate attempts. The culmination was a violent attack on the capital by people who were expecting him to declare martial law. We have Mark Milley to thank for that not happening.

Merrick Garland has now appointed a special counsel who will have the impossible choice of prosecuting a former President at the risk of civil unrest because a good portion of Trump’s followers see him as some God like figure who can do no wrong, despite piles of proof.

I equally invite the republicans to investigate Hunter & Joe Biden. It’s more than fair if they feel they have something there.

If the idiots in charge left Trump to his own devices he would do himself in. The witch hunts, and those are witch hunts, help him. But it’s great for fundraising, clicks and ratings. Every person I know that voted for Trump will go Desantis in a primary.  And damn near everyone here has said the same. But these dopes keep making shite up like he stole nuclear documents. It’s not necessary and feeds him.

He supposedly had info on Iran and China’s defense systems that would expose how we get our intelligence and/or compromise the people involved. So the "nuclear” tag is probably in reference to them as opposed to ours. Of course this is all info provided by "people familiar with the matter" that will be obviously dismissed as nothing. I guess we’ll have to see how/what the special counsel reveals. It would make more sense as to why they raided his home, though, vs them doing it over more trivial stuff.

Perhaps. But then again one could say the same thing about the Hunter Biden laptop, and what it shows.  But that is not happening either.

This must all stop. I am all open for accountability. I do not care who it is, and will not allow Trump to do it any more than Biden has.

Yes, Ray, at this point I think I’d be open to dropping a bomb on Washington and starting over from scratch. Until we can get big $$$ out of our political system we will never truly have a government that is for the people.

Yes, I left out the words "the picture" sorry I figured people could follow along. If you are connecting dots you’d have a picture of a smoking gun. And Mark Milley was so concerned that Trump would try to use the military that they had meetings on how to block him from doing so.

Right now, the problem is the age 80+ dinosaurs that refuse to let go of power. They need to be escorted out immediately. If we could simply start there, some of this would take care of itself.
