some may have missed one of the greatest punts in history yesterday.  came at the end of Buccaneers - Panthers with Tampa up 30-24.  The punter dropped the snap, managed to dodge defenders coming at him, scooted near the sideline and got off a quick drop kick that landed inside the 5.  this created an illegal man downfield penalty that the Panthers couldnt decline for great field position.  Had he not gotten that kick off, the Panthers start at midfield with 30 seconds left.  This punt literally saved the Buccaneers season.

Also, if you are wondering why there is an illegal man downfield penalty here but NOT such a penalty on the Seahawks "double punt" play from last season, its because in the Seahawks game, the ball was actually punted straight away (and then blocked) so at that point you now have a free ball and anyone can go anywhere legally.  The Buccaneer punt was never blocked or punted until the team had crossed the line of scrimmage.

if the season were to end today, the Patriots would make the playoffs, which would continue the streak of one of those 3 franchises making it.  In fact, if the Patriots don't make it, theres a fair chance the Steelers make it instead, so the streak could still continue.

Your Chargers have a great shot at the 5 seed.  If they beat the Broncos or if the Ravens lose to the Bengals, the Chargers are the 5.  That sends them to Jacksonville or Tennessee.  I dont know if either of those are cakewalks for the Chargers, being on the road several timezones away, facing Henry or Etienne, but it a better deal compared to facing the Bengals or Bills.  Plus there is a chance they could host a game later on against the 6 or 7.

I'm not sure why you would, when you are pretty much guaranteed your entire playoff will be played on the road.
