-Vyse- 65 Posted August 26, 2022 Been obsessed with this game called Subnautica and been tearing it up on my PC. They got it for the consoles if any of you are interested but I prefer PC. Basically you crash land on an alien planet that is mostly covered in water and you have to survive. You get future tech and farming for materials let’s you build other things. You also gotta look out for fish that will kill you. Even got different leviathans that can not only kill you but destroy your ships. It’s a pretty cool game and thought that a few of you guys might enjoy it. It’s especially trippy if any of you smoke Any of you guys got any game suggestions or any games you are playing currently? I’m off work until Monday so I got nothing but time this weekend 🫡
MTSkiBum 1,620 Posted August 26, 2022 That's what I am talking about. Subnautica is supposed to be a great game and I have not heard anything negative from it. My brother and his wife both have played it and have given it high recommendations, although I have so far resisted playing it. I recently played disco Elysium and that has moved into my top 10 games of all time. I am currently traveling and am playing the cult of the lamb on the switch. It is a unique game that is pretty good. I was hoping for more humor though given the premise. https://www.ign.com/articles/cult-of-the-lamb-review?amp=1 My current multiplayer games are gran Turismo 7 with a wheel/pedals, Fortnite with a college buddy once a week, and call of duty zombies with my neighbor/fishing buddy once a week. I also was not a huge fan of the dark age/golden age and prefer the base game. I have a solid amount of time into it, but have not played much the last few years. What are your current goals in the game?
DonS 3,289 Posted August 26, 2022 Currently playing Horizon Forbidden West. Next on my list is the PS5 remake of Last of Us which comes out in a couple weeks.

Since he already can build commercial district buildings with faith, I also try to get Jesuit Education, so I can also build campus and theater Square district buildings with faith as well. Then also try to become Suzerian of Valletta to also build walls and stuff with faith. Then finally get a golden age and choose the option that allows you to buy Setlers, builders and traders with faith.

If you are using faith for all of that you are probably not going for a religious victory, which way are you trying to win?

It is a survival game like Subnautica, although you an your friend should play on steam. It has a very steep learning curve and that to me is the fun of the game. The new TMNT game is fun to play on the couch with some friends and it is available on PlayStation, switch, or Xbox. Honorable mention to overcooked.

GobbleDog 948 Posted December 6, 2024 I rarely buy new games, but when I do I play it for years.... still play Battlefield 1 released in 2016. And Crusader Kings III which is pretty old. In any case, recently found a new game that I'm very interested in.... UBOAT, released August 2024. Only $30. Videos look pretty cool.

It sounds dumb but I still really enjoy playing Minecraft on my PC. There are a lot of modpacks are very fun.

BunnysBastatrds 2,223 Posted December 9, 2024 I have twenty plus PS2 games I found in a box I kept after my divorce. Have really fun ones but couldn’t play as I didn’t have a PS2 anymore. So I bought one on eBay. It looks like it has never been used. Once I got it going I popped in Madden 2001. Eddie George is on the cover. I laughed. But my favorite is Manhunt by Rock Star. It’s intense, funny, gory, and hard. No cheats. I had more fun playing that game than any ever. A friend gave me half an 8-ball one night and said he didn’t want it. Went home and the family was asleep, so sniffing and play.

IIRC one of the voice actors was Brian Cox from Succession.
GobbleDog 948 Posted January 10 The UBoat game I mentioned went on sale a couple weeks ago... from $30 to $9.... had to buy it. Thoughts.... HOLY MOTHER OF PEARL greatest money I've ever spent. It's Uboat simulation, but with impressive graphics. Find shipping boats with a hydrophone, estimate course, sail ahead to get a peak - identify boat type, and speed... calculate a torpedo solution. FIRE~!~!~! Oh the satisfaction when ya blow sh*t up. I have a crew of officers / sailors to manage... at least, those who live through the missions. The learning curve is pretty high, especially if ya set the difficult settings high like I did. Took a bunch of Youtube videos to get any of my torpedoes to finally hit. Then there's dealing with the enemy destroyers, corvettes, and airplanes who like to drop depth charges on ya. Lots of missions - sinking ships, delivering spies, finding lost uboats, etc. I've been playing for two weeks, but feel like I'm just getting started. It's still only 1940 and Germany just conquered France, which means I have a new port to leave from. Several more years under Hitler's service. Got a lot of killing to do in the meantime. Highly recommend.

GobbleDog 948 Posted January 11 28 minutes ago, BiffTannen said: Is it on Xbox? Windows only apparently. Not surprised given the detail and number crunching the puter has to do. Doesn't require the greatest gpu, but eats RAM. The game doesn't officially call itself "Das Boot" after the famous movie, but it's clearly trying to mimic it. And does a great job.
