When Eric Adams was in the NYPD, he was elected president of the Guardians, the black police officers fraternal organization. After a short time, rank and file black police officers got wise to him and his grandstanding and selfish ways they rejected him by and large. The word from them was “Eric is all about Eric”. He didn’t do much for black cops. There wasn’t much to do, they did fine without him. So when his organization was shown to be his personal pulpit, witnessed by press conferences that no rank and file members attended, he had to start another organization, this time called “100 blacks in law enforcement “ to grow his numbers, mostly with correction officers and various other agencies that weren’t actually cops.
